So a bunch of us decided to order from here and my expectations were obviously low. Because let’s face it, no matter how many pop-up Turkish spots open up in SI they are Never any good and end up closing in a few months. Here’s my review– the food was Good. We got liver, sigara boreks and etc(the usual). On the Salad end– what I love about the Shepard salad is how all the veggies are perfectly cubed and spiced –not here… The taste was good– but not that awesome authentic salad. And– I do wish the portions were a bit more generous. Final thoughts– we are in SI, this is the most authentic your going to get. Overall taste was Good + Worth a try!

New Turkish spot that opened up on the island. Have respect for small businesses on the island bc we definitely need more! Too many Italian spots. Need more diversity, which is why this place is perfect. I’ve tried many places such as Sahara in Brooklyn and Alba on hylan but this place seals the deal. Very professional chef and staff. Everything is made right in front of you, nothing in the back. Super fresh ingredients grilled when you order. Why are people complaining about time? This isn’t McDonalds. I ordered the lamb Adana platter and it was cooked to perfection, came with a grilled pepper salad and rice. The rice was very perfectly made. So much flavor. Would definitely come back!

Well the bread is good and that’s all … Salad is Stale and old and meat is above average. We picked up just now and both salads looks like they were out for a few hours … Not green and crispy but yellow and stale. «Meh» rating overall. It’s too expensive as well.

This place gets a 2.5 star review. This new Turkish restaurant is located where Alor Pasta used to be. My husband and I walked in very excited to try this place out, as we both LOVE Turkish food. We ordered our drinks, water, which were served lukewarm. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. I ordered a chicken kebab and my husband ordered a mixed grill. I also asked for fries which is on their menu, however they did not have any. This is understandable, maybe they ran out? I received a beef or lamb kebab, not exactly sure. As we were pressed for time I couldn’t wait for them to make the chicken kebab all though they were more than willing to. They also asked if i wanted to keep whatever they brought out for me at a «discounted» price. The food was delicious(the bit that I did try off my husband’s plate) which is why I am giving them 3 stars, however they have a long way to go before they can get a 5 star review. Also, which I should probably knock a half a star off for, they included the gratuity on the bill. This what particularly annoying since we’re 2 people? Why take the gratuity out at 15%? The waitress got my order wrong. All in all our bill came out to about $ 40. Which included the mixed grill $ 20, shepherds salad $ 7, 2 waters $ 3, tax $ 4 and gratuity of $ 5. A plus to the meal was endless Turkish bread and sauces.
