Gymnastics of York: Shrewsbury

no thanks. just took my daughter (6 yrs) there for her second lesson. first went much better– my wife took her and said the person (man– not sure of name but older) was very good. attentive and good with kids. when i took my daughter tonite– the teenage girl spent most of the time looking at the clock waiting for it to be over. I have lots of experience teaching kids (sports coach, etc) and the teenager had absolutely no enthusiasm whatsoever. She obviously didnt enjoy working with the kids and shouldn’t have been. Plus, she was alone with about 8 kids for the first 20 mins (older kids were included) and then someone else showed up and took the older kids– still leaving teenager girl with 5 – 6 kids she barely interacted with. Finally, towards the last 15 mins, one other older (30s?) woman (pretty brunette) showed up and helped out. She was good with the kids and actually had some structure– tried teaching them something. But – too little too late. Dont think I’ll be going back there anytime soon.
On the plus side– they are much cheaper than other places. But– you really do get what you pay for. We’ll be trying some other place, more expensive but I would assume more personal and better employees.
