If you’re going to stay in a motel in a rural area for less than $ 100, don’t expect the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton. This Days Inn suited our purposes efficiently. The staff there was very nice. The owner Jay even greeted me by name when I walked in saying«I thought you were going to check in early!?», because I had called the day that I booked online requesting an early check-in, to which he immediately agreed to check me in 4 hours before the actual check in time… I just didn’t get there because of a late start… Anyway, The room was clean, the bathroom was clean and stocked with clean towels. There was a working refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and air conditioner. The television worked, The sheets were clean. And the continental breakfast was surprisingly varied. It included three types of cereal, oatmeal, individual and varied flavored yogurt, fresh fruit, orange juice and apple juice, coffee or tea, hot chocolate, muffins, three types of bread(including cinnamon raisin!) with a toaster so you can toast it up how you like it… It also included prepackaged cheese omelettes and sausage. This is a well-maintained establishment that I would recommend. The owners — Jay and his wife were very pleasant for a very unpleasant trip upstate to a family funeral service.

Days Inn Middletown is okay. I would rate it as a 2.5star hotel. Below standard quality for the price i paid $ 109/night. The bathroom was clean but my room had a stale odor when I first arrived, but turning on the AC cleared up the smell a bit. The bed was ok, «meh» on comfort. Breakfast sucked, no variety. However the guy at the receptionist desk was very pleasant +0.5 stars. If you’re looking for a 1 – 2 night stay max, go for it. But at the same time, there aren’t too many options in Middletown.

Here to attend a funeral. Staff was friendly, however room walls are so thin I could clearly hear guest next door taking on the phone, snoring, and even his alarm going off which he didn’t turn off right away twice !!! If I every visit Middletown again won’t stay here spend the extra money for a nicer place.

Days Inn of New Hampton is a very standard, reasonable motel. Noisy outside, acceptably clean rooms inside, a doughnut and cereal only continental breakfast, and a seemingly nice staff. This stop is frequented by business travelers and truckers. I used it for business purposes 3 times in early 2009 and found my stay… uneventful but unimpressive.
