We had a perfect diner lunch here. Our waitress was really pleasant and the service was so fast. The food was all good and everything was really clean. Loved the ladies room décor too! Would absolutely stop here again next time we are in the area.

Poor service, dirty dishes, haven’t tried the food yet. But hopefully by the time it arrives we have silverware to use… Food was inconsistent, 3 out of 5.

Everything about this place was less than expected. Food was average. I would not recommend the taco salad bowl

This place is very hit or miss in terms of service. Sometimes the service is fine, and sometimes it’s awful. But the food is usually good and they have real vanilla and cherry coke. And homemade desserts! Just not up to par with other Common Man owned restaurants.

The food was great diner food, perfect. The service was great BUT. This place is filthy. The floors, booths, counters. The tiles on tge walls. It’s all dirty. Don’t even look on the heater next to the booths OMG.

I love all of the other Common Man restaurants but they really need to take a good look at this one. My husband and I go to some of the Cruise nights with some friends and I really hate to go when it is here. We were seated in a booth and the people that sat us noticed that the light bulb was missing. They never put a bulb so it was dark while we were eating. I picked up the special list and there was something sticky all over it. I asked the waitress for a wet nap and she brought me nothing. She never told me they did not have any so I had to go to the restroom to wash my hands. While we were sitting there waiting we started to notice how dirty the place was. We watched one of the waitresses clean off the countertop never taking anything off of it and left dirt all over the end of the counter and also in the underneath part of the bar top. It was disgusting. I will not be going back there any time soon until I hear they have cleaned the place up.

Decent food extremely slow service. Waited over a half hour for sandwiches and fries. Not happy others came in after me and are eating before me. They need to work on service and speed.

Common man? Granted it is a Saturday during the mass exodus — we ordered take out as to not have to wait for seats but it honestly took as long to get our food as it would have to wait for seats. We only ordered 4 burgers with fries. The fries were so soaked in grease they literally looked wet and were tasteless and inedible not to mention cold. The staff there is very friendly but some of them don’t know anything about the food. I asked if the burgers were homemade because it’s a «Diner» and often times most of the food is homemade. I was told yes but the burgers were the standard box type from a food service supply. The Common Man food chain owns this«Diner» I won’t be trying any other if the restaurants. 1 hour wait and $ 50 poorer and still hungry! I went from a common man to a stupid man eating here — never again.

Poor service and sub par food but the manager did her best to accommodate our large party.

When I go to a diner for breakfast, I expect two things: quick service and big portions! This diner didn’t give us either. We came here as a party of 6 — on our way back to MA from a long Memorial Day weekend by the lake — and did get seated pretty quickly. We put in our orders and then waited 30 mins for our food. The server didn’t come by to refill coffee or check on us at all during that time. It was noticeable that other tables weren’t getting food either — I noticed a few parties who came in at the same time as us kind of looking around impatiently. Once the food came out, it was decent but nothing notable. Most of us got a meal with eggs, bacon, toast and home fries. The eggs were small, the portion of home fries were small — which is fine really but after such a long wait, it was extra disappointing! My mom got eggs Benedict which she said was really good. My sister got biscuits and gravy which she said was just okay. We got some pancakes to share as well and they were really tough — hard to cut with just a fork. Just weird. All in all, not the worst — but we won’t be going back.

What a fun place. Great home made soups and deserts, and the coffee is good! You gotta try this place if your in the area!

Food was good and to be expected from a diner. It came out piping hot. The diner was clean and not crowded. There were probably 3 tables and a handful at the counter. Despite not being busy it took some time to have the server come and take our order. We had French toast and it was tasty. They forgot that I wanted real maple syrup and sausages but they brought me what was missing in a timely manner. It also took a while for the check to come. It was a cold day and the heat could have been turned up a bit but it was overall a good experience. Our biggest criticism is that we had to wait longer than appropriate for our order to be taken and longer than appropriate for our check to come, especially since it was not busy.

Route 104 Diner was A-OK. No real complaints. Typical diner fare of burgers, fries, etc. Typical diner atmosphere. I will say it is cleaner and better run now that it is owned by the Common Man chain. This place was pretty dirty before Common Man took over.

Disappointing is how I would describe both experiences I have had here. I live locally and frequent many of the Common Man restaurants. This one just doesn’t cut it. Seated immediately but long wait to have our breakfast/lunch order taken. We waited 25 minutes for our food to arrive and were ignored the entire waiting time with no check in for coffee refills(a real pet peeve for me at breakfast). My eggs over medium had runny whites. Mediocre bacon eggs and toast. My husband’s bison burger was described as nothing special. Waitstaff was friendly but indifferent. Both times the bus girls just hung out waiting for something to do either texting(first visit) or making beverage for self. I gave this place a second chance and I won’t be back. I would recommend heading all the way into Meredith for some great breAkfast/lunch places.

Very slow service. Took 10 min to get drinks. Took 30 minutes to get appetizers. Food was lukewarm. Soup was a chunky gravy like salty disaster. Mashed potatoes were chunky. Not a good experience at all like at other common man restaurants. Waitress never came back to check on our drinks. Manager did take some items off the check because it was so poor quality and we sent it back.

Came here with my fam for the first Time today & first impression was the waitress was friendly and helpful. I ordered the tuna melt, bread pudding, & coffee malt. They were all super delicious! My mom ordered the peanut butter pie. The texture wasn’t like pie though & basic. That is the only complaint.

Understaffed — or just really slow. We were there for over an hour for a breakfast that should have been under 30 minutes. There was no wait, so we thought we would be in and out. Wasn’t overly impressed with the food. I love most Common Man restaurants — but would probably just go to Dunkin’s down the street next time.

A cute little diner off the side of the road, Route 104 Diner offers some great food. They serve breakfast all day, which is a plus(but at certain times they don’t serve waffles. Sad face. But, that does not count against them. Plenty of really great options are available!) The chicken fried steak is probably the best I’ve ever had. Smothered in sausage gravy, it was pretty fantastic. The crispiness of the outside? Perfection. The same was said for my gf’s sausage and gravy. Delicious. Plus, the scrambled eggs were prepared in this unusual, thick, strip kind of way, which was really interesting and still tasty. Overall, the meals were incredibly hearty and really good, especially for a chilly day. We plan on definitely going back next time we are in the area. Really delicious food, great atmosphere and a friendly staff, Route 104 is a place to check out. Yerm.

A damn decent corned beef hash under the fluorescent lights of a classic spoon-turned-klassic spün. Modernized to maintain an Imagineered retro feel. Sock hop hip, but you can sense the plastic veneer. Her chocolate shake had an inferior ice cream base that actually heightened its appeal. Something about those crystalline chunks of fast-melting mayhem make the kid in me smile an(inevitably) toothless grin. Donna personified service with a smile, and following a debate Kara G and I had over the greatness of malted milk, the lovely Miss D slid us a plastic monkey cup of the stuff. Verdict: Kara said meh, I sprinkled it on everything. Do not attempt on eggs. Woof. Also present? Puzzles and Pursuit of the Trivial variety, families and bikers and a haunting, in-bathroom recording of a smokey-throated housewife complaining about her lazy husband. A neat place with a clever catch, and totally worth a $ 6 brekkie.
