The food here is very good. It’s a mix of Greek and Turkish. I lived in Greece for 3.5 years and finding a place that makes my favorite Greek dishes here in the states has been a challenge. They make the best Gyro by far that I have been able to find stateside. You have to stop in and give this place a try. At the time I visited, they are only open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, but they are open for lunch on the weekdays and closed on Sunday.

If you want authentic Turkish food, this is where you need to go. We had the borek(cigars), adana kebab, tava(casserole), and baklava with Chai and coffee to finish. It brought me back to the fine restaurants in Incirlik, Adana and the banks of the Seyhan River. Thanks you for the flashback! !

I keep coming back here because the food is great. Especially the French lamb rack! They are also great at cooking fish.

Highly recommended! Everything was wonderful! The ambiance reminded us of a small restaurant in Istanbul– simple décor, authentic Turkish food, and a warm and friendly staff that will go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. We ordered the cold meze, chicken kabob platter, cigar rolls, pistachio baklava, and Turkish coffee. The food was great — light, fabulous flavor, and very filling. The owner was kind, attentive, and generous. We highly recommend you try this place(especially if you want to try something outside heavy American food, pizza, etc).

This place is a gem. I have traveled to Greece several times and my meal here was truly authentic. So glad I stopped in!

The food was fantastic as was the service. The food is much more Turkish than Greek, in my opinion, but that’s not a bad thing. The only reason it missed 5 stars is being out of Gyro meat. Boooo. The hummus with Turkish sausage as an appetizer was amazing.

Amazing!!! We went on a Thursday night and the meal and service were both exceptional. My bf has been overseas and said that it tasted just like it would over there. We will definitely be back and suggest it to everyone we know.

Café Crete is a fine Turkish-Mediterranean establishment on the already ethnic-restaurant rich French Road in New Hartford. When my friend and I walked in, the owner guided us to the upstairs which had a buffet that extended against the back wall. We had the lunch buffet which was very reasonably priced. For the little amount of customers that were there at the restaurant, the food on the buffet was actually really fresh which was a pleasant surprise. The owner seems to know what he’s doing. The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance is definitely on-point for the quaint establishment that it is. It’s hard to grab a share of the Mediterranean restaurant market with so many restaurants of the type in the area. I hope this place doesn’t fall off, it definitely adds to the diverse ethnic food in the area.

Absolutely amazing. I have only been there for the lunch buffet but I can tell you the food is soo good. The lunch buffet changes everyday but it seems like every new thing I try I like more. Simply outstanding. One last thing, you must try the pistachio baklava. Warning: if you go you may get addicted.

Excellent Turkish food! We went in for a ‘light dinner’ and ended up stuffing ourselves. Try the Meat and/or Feta Cigar Rolls – both are magnificent. We had the Kanafeh for dessert, which I had never had before; it’s sort of a sugary cheese pastry and it was excellent. Staff was very friendly and very eager to please. We’re definitely going back and soon as this is my new favorite restaurant in the Utica area…

Don’t let the name Crete fool you. The place is actually a Turkish restaurant. The owner is a nice Turkish man who serves authentic Turkish food. We found this place on Unilocal.I’ve been to Turkey several times and the food here is very authentic. There are two booths downstairs and a seating area upstairs. They also have drive thru. The entrees are a bit expensive($ 15-$ 18) but generous portions. The hummus was absolutely delicious. Overall it’s a great place to try Turkish and Mediterranean style food. Try it out!

Was in town visiting relatives & went to this new restaurant for dinner based on a recommendation. The food was fresh tasting, nice presentation & tasty. I had the lamb shish kabobs & my husband had the musaka. Both were good but I liked the musaka the best. Service was prompt & accommodating — asked for baba ganoush instead of humus on my platter(so we could try more dishes) & they were happy to oblige.
