I don’t usually shop at department stores, but this has all of the necessities of your dependable mall department store. I’ve been into this one before – it has a large shoe department, designer bag section, and good lingerie department – but this time I was here to buy makeup. I came in to go to the newish mini Sephora. I was pleased to see that the Sephora features a lot of makeup brands that were previously not represented at this Macy’s – NARS, Benefit, Lorac, Shiseido, and more. I purchased some NARS eyeliner. There was a good stock, but be sure to check and make sure that you have the right color – the samplers had all been placed in the wrong stands, so I grabbed the wrong box without realizing it. The Sephora is well staffed. When I was there, there were four attendants and they were helpful without being overbearing. I also got a free sample with my purchase. One tip is to check out the displays in the middle by the checkout, which feature smaller sized items. I was really pleased to see a small version of the NARS blush and bronzer duo, which I’d been looking at in the NARS section but couldn’t justify shelling $ 40 out for without having the chance to ever try. On the other hand, $ 24 for a smaller version of that(about half as big) was definitely within my price range for giving it a go. I didn’t get a chance to check out the clothes sections(yet), but I did notice that they have Mango and Levi’s.
