I came for ladies’ night with movies, manis and martinis several times and had a good time. Their food is acceptable. I then came on a Saturday. The drunken host was racist(which I found especially odd considering the diversity of the patrons) and incredibly rude. I left and will never go back.

I used to love this place. For the first year they opened they never had a cover, they had Hoegaarden on draft and #9 in bottles, there were genuinely interesting and attractive people who hung out here, and there was always a really good vibe here. Then the douche bags found out about it and it went downhill faster than Lindsay Lohan’s sobriety. Now it’s always crowded, the bartenders have a combined IQ of 37, and the vibe is like Alchemy, but if all the people in there were 5 – 10 years older. The actual place itself still looks pretty good, which is one positive. And if it actually happens to not be packed, or you can get in without paying the cover, it’s worth going. You can also sit outside, which is a nice bonus, admittedly. It’s just that, you can’t really plan to go here, because you may get there and be like, «oh… um… huh. I’m not going in there.» Under no circumstances should you ever order food here. I don’t even know if they serve food here anymore, but for everyone’s sake, let’s hope not. This place should not be confused with Caffe Bottega, the café on the corner of Temple and Chapel, which is way more chill and a totally different scene.
