What an amazing find! Eclectic atmosphere and amazing, friendly and fun staff! The FOOD was incredible! We had the coconut shrimp, fried artichokes, chicken broccoli Alfredo, seared Ahi tuna steak and zeppolies for dessert! Everything was cooked perfectly and the presentation was on point! The prices can not be beat!!! $ 14 for the ahi tuna(with salad!) and it was definitely worth twice as much!!! Also LOVED the artichoke pesto with the bread points to start!

Found this place by accident a week ago Tuesday after being rudely ignored at the bar next store. Well all things happen for a reason, I love this place! Food was great, prices were good and the service was awesome! I forgot my waiters name but he was a great guy and very helpful. I’ll be coming back

After reading the reviews on here, I was a little apprehensive… However, I bought a coupon and decided to give it a go. Not lying, we weren’t expecting much… Was planning to have some wine, apps and go. Everything is reasonably priced and exceptionally good. We got a bottle of Pinot noir, calamari, coconut shrimp and the margarita pizza. It was so delicious. The waiter was not only attractive but very personable. He wasn’t annoyed when we told him about our coupon either. Apparently on Wednesday night they have live music and its ladies night so I plan to check it out. Will def be back. Glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews.

Went here a few weeks ago with a group of 8 total for a birthday party. Not quite sure why the waiter was being a jerk… maybe he was trying to be funny? More than that, the food was bland, including«the chef’s recommendations», and the food was cold for all of us. For context, the restaurant was empty except for my party. Nobody in my group liked the food, the service, or really anything about the experience.

Another stellar dinner and service at CSKB! The staff and chef know how it’s done and from start to finish they are consistently great and on the mark! Not disappointed!

I came here on Friday with some friends after happy hour desperately needing some food in our stomachs before something terrible happened. Granted, the neon sign isn’t exactly confidence-inspiring, but the menu looked reasonable, the prices are downright affordable, and they had buy-one-get-one well drinks. So hey, cheap vodka sodas. Plus we could sit outside. Firstly, it is strange that they now have half of Kelly’s patio area and it’s like… 20 feet away from the front of the restaurant. So if you need to pee, you are definitely gonna have to walk a bit. But hey, that’s life. It’s definitely mostly Italian but they have a bit of everything. And it’s downright affordable. I had some kind of chicken/sausage pasta dish. I went to the website to verify but their menu on there is a low resolution JPEG file you can’t zoom in on. So. Useless, I guess. Which makes sense, since the website itself is sort of impressively bad. I… was not particularly impressed with the food. It was fine. I’m not an expert in Italian but it was pretty marginal. The chicken in there seemed like pretty much the same stuff you get pre-cooked at the grocery store. Sausage was good, though. Sauce was runny. Presentation was kinda non existent. The service was alright. The guy brought my friend a 2nd drink without asking which struck me as a little weird. I guess if you get buy one get one you can’t just buy 4 drinks with 4 people? I don’t know. And I don’t even want to venture a guess as to what their well vodka is. Sometimes it’s best not to ask too many questions. Waiter also remarked about the place next door(K2) being named after a synthetic drug. Which I found funny because he didn’t realize K2 is an actual mountain. No judgment here I guess. My friends seemed to like their food more than I did. I don’t know. They were pretty drunk. Overall I wasn’t particularly impressed with the experience. The food is pretty affordable and there was a lot of it, but I didn’t particularly love it. It’s fine. But there’s like like 10 better Italian places in New Haven. Still. There aren’t too many cheap places where you can probably buy weird Internet drugs from your waiter, so that’s something.

So this place definitely has potential. The décor is super modern and the space is great. Went in with some girlfriends after dinner. We were walking around downtown New Haven on a Saturday night trying new Bars so we figured we would give this place a try. Plus $ 5 martinis and $ 2 bud lights? Can’t beat that. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was empty. Except for 3 other people at the bar, it was just us. Which doesn’t really bother me, except the volume of the music was weirdly low. Either way it was a decent experience and I will be coming back to try the food!

Very friendly staff! We wanted to sit outside but the patio doesn’t have their liquor permit yet so we will definitely back! Looking forward to trying them out.

This place has some of the best Italian food in the downtown New Haven area. The staff is friendly and informative. They have a daily rawbar happy hour with 50 cent clams and 75cent oysters from 3 – 7 at the bar. Very clean interior and everything is fresh and full of flavor. Prices aren’t anything ridiculous either.

Stopped by the other night after a movie — around 10 pm — for a spontaneous drink before heading home. Two of the friends I was with got their margaritas(from their slushie machines) and seemed happy enough. However, my partner and I ordered the $ 2 «brain freeze» shots from the board behind them. After being told that the bartender wasn’t sure what the advertised brain freeze drink was, she offered to make/give us something different. We were obviously just after a cheap shot — hence ordering a random $ 2 shot — but took her up on her offer. We were given a «mystery shot» with the promise that if we didn’t like it, we wouldn’t have to pay for it. After taking the shot — not Fireball, but something similar — we both hemmed and hawed, obviously not loving the shot, but not totally dissatisfied. We were willing to pay, assuming we were in the same price range, so my partner put down $ 6, only to be told that that«covered one of the shots» and asked who was paying for the other. Rather than $ 4, we ended up spending $ 12. I realize this isn’t terrible for two shots, but what I’m upset by is the lack of transparency, only being told the price after taking the shot, after requesting the cheapest shot on their menu, only to be told that they didn’t know how to make that. If I were to do it again or had I known the price, I would have been more firm about not liking the shot and refusing to pay full price. Will not return. I prefer a place where I don’t feel cheated out of my money.
