Food encounters is a grilled cheese and soup truck that I have seen a few times on the street where I work in New Haven. I ordered a Portuguese kale and chorizo soup and had a 4G grilled cheese sandwich, the 4 G’s being gouda, gruyère, goat, and gorgonzola. It came to $ 10, which I thought was a little expensive compared to the other food carts here. The soup was ok. The sandwich was overpowering. The gorgonzola was so strong. They always have different soups and they had a few other great sounding sandwiches too so I am willing to give it another shot, but my first impression so far is ok.
