Free samples of good wines, friendly server. Didn’t rush us through the samples but kept us engaged in conversation.

We picked Robller as our first stop on the wine trail we did, as its the furthest away from the city but the first winery you pass as you come into the area. The staff was very friendly and we had an area that was set up just for the Wine trail people. They gave us our glasses and explained that we got to eat the food and taste as many wines as they had available for us(which was 5). The food was delicious and the wines were right up our alley. They have a little shop that you can find any information on the other wineries as well as Hermann and can purchase their wines if you like.

Probably the most friendly of all the wineries on the Hermann Wine Trail. The owner is incredibly knowledgable and willing to answer any questions you may have. They do produce a superior wine as well. My favorite was the Dry Vignoles. Stunning scenery of vineyards, rolling Missouri hills, all in a peaceful and quiet setting. Highly recommend this winery.

The wife and I accidentally stumbled across this winery one day while we was on a leisurely Saturday afternoon drive. We wanted a break from the car so we stopped. We are so glad we did. The wine was really good and everyone there was super nice and helpful. We are already planning another drive out that way just so we can go back.

The Traveling Winers on Missouri Wine Trail Röbller Vineyard was definitely one of the highlights on our Hermann Wine Trail! Robert and Lois Mueller bought this beauty of a land in 1987 making them the 4th owners of the property. They current grow mainly hybrids including Vidal, Vignoles, Seyval, Traminette, Steuben, Villard Noir, St. Vincent, Chambourcin and Norton, and produce approximately 6,000 gallons per year(25,000 cases). Our time at the Vineyard was spent with Robert and Lois’ son, Jerry. What a wealth of interesting information Jerry has to share and what passion for the creation of a quality wine! Jerry told us about the different type of fermentation processes that they have employed in order to smooth out the flavor of the sometimes harsh Norton grape(our words, not his!). And we can tell you that whatever he did, it works! Very nice smooth flavor from their Norton and Chambourcin. To find out the interesting story behind the name of the winery make sure to read our individual blogs. It’s a very cool story! Get out there and explore, enjoy some wine, and leave us a comment below about your experience here at Röbller Vineyard! The Traveling Winers at The Vineyard Trail

I have mixed feelings about Robller. I will say that I love the setting and that free tastings are available. I don’t remember any particular wines, but I believed I liked one or two. We did the Hermann Wine Trail in one day, so we weren’t able to spend a whole lot of time at each winery. Consequently, I did not savor the first wine, as I usually do, and instead went with my first tasting impression and swallowed. Then was called out on it. «Why did you swallow so quickly?» She disapproved. «You should take a minute and savor it.»(Or something along those lines.) I knew that already. Of course, she had no way of knowing that I know that. However, her phrasing left something to be desired, and after trying another couple of wines in the manner she demonstrated, I left without making a purchase. I’ll go back next time I’m on the Hermann Trail, if it’s convenient, but I won’t make any special trip or go out of my way to do so.

The Norton was really great! Easy to find, right off Hwy 100. You can sample for free. Family atmosphere, live band, they do except credit cards inside. but the cost at the end of the rode is cash to listen to the band. They do sell wine, cheese, bread and gifts in the shop.

I’ve been to this winery where it was just two of us and have been here when the entire winery was packed full of people and no matter what, it’s been a great time. The people here are super and if you can try their wines and not find something you like, you should probably just stick to beer. They have some wines that pair with certain foods and it’s a fun experience no matter what style of wine you enjoy.

This is a great place to visit when around Hermann. Both times I have been here, the staff is super friendly and the location cannot be beat. The number of wines they have is extensive, and they allow you to taste any/all if you like, along with providing a few flavor enhansers such as chocolate, etc. They skew to the sweet side, but have some very tasty white wines that are perfect to enjoy on their small patio, overlooking the countryside. Try the White Steuben with peanut butter cookies – no joke, this is actually delicious! They also have a very large event space that is inviting(both in the winter and spring). Their tasting room also carries a selection of gifts(great one stop place if you need to pick up something for friends/family back home).

I like the Jeux D’eau white wine… it was a nice light white wine with peachy overtones. Can’t say any of the others were particularly to my taste. The best thing about today’s visit was the gal in the tasting room. We arrived here as our 4th stop on the wine trail and were promptly told that at Robller everyone gets a fresh glass.(We had tickets for the Chocolate Wine Tour, visit 7 wineries and enjoy a glass of wine paired with a chocolate dessert, each glass served in your own«keepsake» glass.). This set this winery apart, what a nice touch! How thoughtful that I don’t have to use a dirty glass I’ve been trucking around for hours to try their wines. It’s a way from Hermann, but worth going to go see!

I loved that this place had a few more dry wines then others in MO. Still not a ton, but more than the others in the area. The staff said they’ve found people are wanting more dry wines. Add me to that list. While the wines were tasty, the most enjoyable part was the informative and friendly staff. It was pretty slow on a weekday when we stopped by, so we talked quite a bit and learned a lot about the various wines. The outdoor area is also great with a nice view of the hills to enjoy.

Awesome winery and the hosts are very informative! If you need a lesson in pairings, they are more than able to assist you. I really like their wines.

Our first trip to Robller on Hermann wine weekend for our first anniversary. We tasted most of the wines and had a great chat with the owner. He was a very nice, soft-spoken guy that obviously loves what he does. We ended up buying two bottles — Villa Rouge(a nice in between wine for my husband the dry drinker, and myself, the sweeter drinker) and the White Steuben. They sample the White Steuben with peanut butter chips. How I never thought about pairing peanut butter and sweet wines is ridiculous. It was great! We didn’t get to enjoy the outside as much as Steve O., because it was so hot, but the view was great. I could imagine downing a few bottles with friends outside. We’ll go back, for sure.

I’m hesitant to write this review… it’s one of those things where it’s like, ‘Crap, if I put this out there, that means more people might come,’ but alas I cannot keep a good thing from the Unilocal community. So here goes… Come to this winery!!! The next sunny day you get… pack up the ol’ station wagon and get out to New Haven… because this place is a gem. As my mom’s pick for Mother’s Day, we headed out west to enjoy the nice weather. It was a bit of a drive, and grandma complained in the back seat, but all was well once we arrived. This place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, not much else around, but that makes it all the more better. There’s nothing blocking the amazing views from the beaufiful hillside. Wait, hold on a sec, I am realizing that my last review was also for another winery… so I add this sidenote**I am by no means an alcoholic, nor do I really know anything about wine. I like sunshine. I love lamp.*** Ok, I’m back. Anyhoo… it’s just really nice. It’s very spread out, plenty of room to run around(which I did) or to toss a ball around(which in our case involved me trying to hit my bro in the nuts with a tennis ball… it’s what we do). The wines were great, affordable, and best of all, you can bring your own food… which is becoming rare these days. We were able to sit, eat, laugh, relax, throw balls at nuts… just a great way to spend a day. The owners are pretty great also, a nice older couple who just loves to talk and share their space. FYI — they have many events in the summer, one of which is a Reggae style party which looks to be pretty great… we’ll be back.
