Sing-Wah Chinese Restaurant

And the reason why this place has horrible reviews is because it’s a hole in the wall. If you’re a restaurant connoisseur you understand a place like this. You just get it. What they don’t have in atmosphere they makeup for in taste. this is the only Chinese takeout that I trust the food is always good the service is always nice if they know you! Haha.

Last Sunday was a special occasion that warranted laying around in bed and having my lunch delivered. After ordering online, I received a phone call from Sing-​Wah Chinese Restaurant explaining that one of my items was unavailable. I was disappointed, but adjustments were made and I waited for the food to arrive.
After over an hour, I received my order. Despite clear instructions on where to deliver the food, the delivery gentleman still did not follow instructions.
Unfortunately, upon receiving my order I realized that I was overcharged for what the restaurant had substituted; the restaurant did not correct this. I found the food to be okay — I ordered the steamed chicken and vegetables with brown sauce on the side. It came with white rice, which retained a strange and watery texture.
I’d rate the food as ³⁄₅. Delivery time as ²⁄₅. Customer service and delivery service ¹⁄₅.
Verdict:
Sing-​Wah Chinese Restaurant was rather disappointing. I do not plan to order from here again.

I ordered Dragon and Phoenix and had it delivered.
The woman on the phone was polite. The delivery guy was polite.
The food tasted okay, but it gave me diarrhea.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I got salmonella!!! I ate crab rangoon, an egg roll, and chicken lo mien. The chicken lo mien just didn’t taste right. After 5 days of vomiting and a bunch of other gross things the test came back as salmonella.

This is a review about their delivery service. It took them 1 hours and 30 minutes to get to my place, which is absurd. There are plenty of other places in New haven to order chinese food.

Decent place and you get what you expect.
Average to good Chinese food. Average prices. Great service and hard to comprehend Chinese in the background.
They changed management so they always make your food to order.
