Convenient location. I don’t suggest subletting from an owner because it is way too much of a hassle. The manager for the building is rude and unresponsive. Goodness forbid you ever have a problem because they will delay fixing it for as long as possible. This includes rodent issues. There are many elderly tenants, some with limited mobility who seem to have trouble keeping their apartments clean and this affects the whole floor. The building is old and not very well kept. The alarm went off once for several hours. On more than one occasion, I had to walk up the creepy stair well for almost a dozen floors which is the last thing I want to do after a long day. The management office will close early, leaving you out in the cold should a problem arise at 4 p.m. and they just felt like closing before the 5 p.m. time when they are supposed to close. The night doorman falls asleep all the time and is more than a little creepy.
