Friendly staff; delicious sandwiches(huge and stuffed with fresh ingredients); lovely patio; great prices. Will definitely be back!

We are visiting New Haven by way of Philly, and we rode our bikes from the historic district to Zoi’s and it was worth the ride! Super cheap, simple, and good breakfast sandwiches. My boyfriend each got the Sweet Pete’s with a medium coffee and our meal was $ 13.00. The sandwich had crunchy bacon, caramelized onion, and cheese on Pumpernickel. The girl at the fron desk wasn’t very friendly to us, I guess because we have tattoos and don’t look balling out like the business men she was welcoming with, but luckily the cook who brought our food was awesome and made up for it! Thanks dude!

You will not be disappointed. The bacon is local and fresh and the food is amazing. I recommend any of the special breakfast sandwiches!

Not impressed. I ordered breakfast via Eat24 and was quoted 15 – 20 minutes. When I showed up after 20 minutes, I was told my order would be «a few more minutes». No problem. The problem occurs when I still don’t have my order 13 minutes after standing in the restaurant. French toast and bacon can be cooked from raw in that time. The food was good enough, but nothing above average. I’ll give them a star for being cheap and open before I start work at 8. Otherwise, you’re better off getting counter service somewhere else.

Huge sandwiches! my mother and I split one and they were nice enough to cut it in half and give us each or own with a side of potatoe salad and a pickle! It’s a little home in the wall but amazing!

Was in town from Boston looking for good and fast breakfast. Found on Unilocal and food/did not disappoint. Quickly got the Lumberjack which was tasty and seasoned well. Who doesn’t love a complete meal in a sub! Highly recommend!

I used Zoi’s for catering for one of my events and I was really pleased with them. They were early, the food was great, and they were very professional. I would definitely recommend their food and their catering.

I came with a friend around brunch time and the line was still short. Our food was served to us and it was very filling! I had a breakfast platter and my friend had a sandwich with hummus and sweet potato fries. The place is small, but there’s an outdoor patio and enough seating to accommodate people. Most people who came in(during the rush, I guess) left after getting their food.

Super delicious breakfast sandwiches, and super cheap! Whenever I go, I always get the lumberjack(so so good), and the mean dean. The pancakes are pretty good too — very light and airy. Would highly recommend!

This is my favorite breakfast place but not only breakfast the lunch is incredible. They have so much variety. You gotta try the roast beef sandwich. Warning the place is really packed for lunch so be prepared to wait but its not a long wait.

Went back to try one of their cold sandwiches, the #19 — roast beef with pepperjack, bacon, red onion, lettuce, tomato, and Dijon horseradish on a hard roll. Amazing. As good as the ribeye I had last time. The roast beef was perhaps as good as what I’ve had at Carbone’s in Torrington — anyone that’s been to Carbone’s knows what a tremendous statement that is — and every other ingredient was perfectly chosen. Zoi’s is fantastic at execution. This is not a place where you walk in and sculpt your sandwich from scratch(although I assume you can if you want). You pick a sandwich from their huge selection, and trust that they made the right decisions on what to put in it. Believe me when I say that your trust would be well-placed. In fact, they’re so good that I didn’t feel guilty about driving to New Haven and not getting New Haven pizza.

I have lots of salads and sandwiches here, yet never set foot in the actual restaurant, which is a large reason why I am a fan. They will deliver my fantastic salad to me at work! There are so many times I am running around for meetings and barely have time to run out to the carts. There are also plenty of times when I don’t feel like running out because it is pouring or the streets are slushy and snowy. Zoi’s is a great and convenient lunchtime option. Their sandwiches and fries are fantastic, but they also have some very large and lush salads. I highly recommend. They are great!

If you’re ever on a road trip or are passing by Connecticut, do yourself a favor and stop by Zoi’s on Orange for breakfast! OMG, it was literally one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s a small shop that’s easy to miss, but thanks to Unilocal,we came across Zoi. I ordered the Big Kahuna, which was sausage, bacon, egg, cheese, hashbrowns, and ketchup on a roll. It sounds like a heart attack, but I guarantee you’ll finish the entire thing with no regrets. It was THAT good. I wish I had magician powers where I can just transport from New York to Connecticut whenever I’m craving a greasy breakfast sandwich.

1st time stopping into Zoi’s On Orange for me. Today was the day after Thanksgiving, so it wasn’t very busy inside. I ordered a chicken cutlet sub w/cheese & bacon. A solid sandwich, it was very filling & fresh-tasting. Not much more to say other than I plan to back in the future.

I had bookmarked Zoi’s right when I moved here because I thought it looked pretty good but it wasn’t until yesterday when friends from out of town surprised me that I was able to go. It’s a cute little sandwich shop on the inside. Fresh coffee, a pretty big menu, and a wide selection of drinks. It’s the kind of place where you order at the counter, they bring your food to you, and then you pay at the counter. One thing that surprised me was how large the outdoor patio was. There must have been 12 – 15 tables out there. Not the best view, it’s of a parking garage, but they do the best they can. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and two of my friends, both vegetarian, didn’t have any trouble finding something to order. I remember both of them saying that while they eat a ton of sweet potato fries, Zoi’s were among some of the best. Only complaint was that the food was a little greasy and soggy. However, for a quick, easy, and cheap breakfast with friends, Zoi’s hit the spot.

A solid greasy spoon with a simple yet accommodating patio in the back. Their menu includes breakfast sandwiches and omelettes. The Sweet Pete — with bacon, caramelized onions, and cheese on pumpernickel brad($ 4.25) — was satiating and a good size. The omelettes, which include home fries, are definitely more substantial. The meat lover’s was delicious. I felt like it took a while to get our food — their kitchen is small — so be sure to consider that when you order. The iced coffee was only so-so. No pressure to leave despite the beautiful weather. Off the beaten path of NH.

There’s not a ton I can say about Zoi’s that hasn’t already been said. Suffice it to say I love their breakfast sandwiches and I truly love the price of said sandwiches, they have coffee, and the people working here are always exceedingly kind. I stop here when I’m too lazy to make breakfast and want a treat that won’t break the bank. This place is so satisfying. I also really love their casual wall menus and the fact that you can see right into the kitchen. Every city should have a little café like Zoi’s: inexpensive, great ingredients, tasty sandwiches and the nicest staff in new haven.

A friend and I chose to come to Zoi’s for breakfast based on the Unilocal reviews. I had such high hopes that this would be added to the list of breakfast go-to places that I love. We went for a late breakfast so it wasn’t crowded. We were greeted by one of the employees who showed us the menu on the wall along with the menu on the table. She nicely explained we could put in our order and they’ll bring it out to our table. Thanks to Unilocal we knew about the outdoor seating in the back. A bit awkward to walk through the long narrow hallway past the kitchen to get there. Fast forward to our orders being brought out to us. I ordered the Sweet Pete and a side of home fries. I love home fries. So I dig in and immediately my friend notices my not so pleased expression. The home fries are soggy and overly greasy. Huge disappointment. But the breakfast sandwich looks good. Something different being on pumpernickel bread. I’m excited for this. I open the top of one half. I see the egg smothered in cheese. Then I notice bacon on just one half of the half. At most two small slices of bacon on this sandwich. While reading the menu the caramelized onions caught my eye. At best I’d call these sautéed onions. They added the flavor but they certainly were not caramelized. I assume it was the owner constantly checking on us. I will say he did hope we had a good experience. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations and the breakfast just wasn’t up to par for my tastes. As I read some more reviews tonight many reviews as based on their lunch menu. Perhaps I’ll give their lunch a try when I’m in the area again but I won’t be adding this place to my breakfast list.

Great little sandwich/salad shop with friendly, efficient service and an extensive menu with something that will please everyone in your party. We sampled the #10 and the #11. The #10, which was reuben-like with loads of fresh-roasted turkey, cole slaw, swiss, thousand island, and bacon on rye, was out-of-this-world good. The #11 had potential with a tasty combo of housemade chicken cutlet, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and pesto. The pesto fell a bit flat, however, which kept the sammy from knocking it out of the park. The potato salad that accompanies each sandwich was a lovely surprise — mild and creamy with a small hit of dill. Don’t be put off by the long line if you’re in a hurry — it moves swiftly and they turn out the food quickly.

Found another great breakfast place in New Haven! I’m a fan of the quick service and ordering at the register. My meal was pretty simple: a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with a side of avocado. It tasted fine but it’s also a meal that is hard to screw up. I think they toast their bread a certain way to add some additional flavoring. I couldn’t quite figure it out in my one visit but it certainly made the sandwich more unique. I hear the lunch sandwiches are also enjoyable so I’ll have to post an updated review after trying one. The bonus is really the backyard patio. It gives Zoi’s some charm and character. Without it, Zoi’s could appear dated and murky. For instance, I noticed the Snapple cap on my Snapple bottle was stained with food crumps. Totally disgusted me out and I would have made a scene had I not been sitting outdoor on their beautiful patio.
