This is a great place to spend some time and get your hair cut. This is a business not a play ground for a child that can sit still, for 15 min. I see lots of kids getting haircuts, with no problems and come out looking great.

Mike has cut my hair for over ten years, and I couldn’t be happier with the shop’s cleanliness, professionalism, location, and friendly atmosphere! Whether you want to hear the latest small-town news, need advice re: local happenings or venues, or just want to relax without conversation, Librizzi’s is the place to be. Lots of magazines to read if you have a short wait, and the walls are filled with vintage toy relics that can bring back a lot of memories. Hint: If you want to get your hair cut on Saturday morning, either get there«first thing» or come after 10:30 or so to avoid the inevitable rush. HIGHLYRECOMMEND.

I got my hair cut by Mike, and I was tremendously satisfied. He is a true barber. He is extremely proficient, thorough, and patient. I especially admire that he takes pride in his work. Not only is he professional, he is also friendly and welcoming. If you need a military haircut, Mike knows how to do it. It can be hard to find someone who knows how to do a good fade, but he is very capable. He even finishes up with with a straight razor shave on your neck with hot shaving cream, which is also hard to find away from a military base. The inside of the shop is clean and welcoming, and is decorated with a tasteful collection of antiques. I appreciate businesses run by people who care about the personal relationship with their customers and take pride in their work. They take ownership of this barber shop and are committed to giving you a good experience.

I have taken my son here occasionally for years and have always been happy. Today I had a really mixed experience. My daughter wanted hers cut too while we were there, but I told her it might not be the place to get a girl’s haircut. When we went in there was a female barber and a male barber, both available. I asked, and was told of course they do women’s/girls’ haircuts. So I asked to have haircuts for both kids. For some reason I can’t imagine, the female cut my son’s hair, and the male cut my daughter’s hair. She has very curly hair, which he did not even spray or comb. I asked for just one inch off. He just started cutting it straight across while it was uncombed. I could have asked my 5 yr. old son to cut it if I wanted it done so unprofessionally! I wish he would have just admitted that he had no idea how to cut long, curly hair instead of cutting off at least 3 inches of my child’s hair. I understand that this is a barber shop, which is why I was hesitant to allow her to get it cut there… but come on, any adult would know to spray and comb the hair first to get an even cut. I had to tell him to do that, and in order to make it even, it had to be shorter. I will say he handled my upset very well, and didn’t even charge for the haircut, which was nice. But I would still rather have not had it cut at all than to have it cut very, very poorly for free. The woman who cut my son’s hair did a fine job, but I don’t think she is very good with children. My son was ticklish and raising his shoulders somewhat involuntarily when she was buzzing the back of his hair. After she asked him to put his shoulders down a couple of times, she poked him in the shoulder to make him put his shoulders down. Later she threatened that she would poke him again. She was also impatient with him in other ways, even though he wasn’t being difficult. Sometimes she was smiling, which makes me think she didn’t mean anything by it. I guess she’s just not used to being around children. Edited to add — When I shampooed her hair at night and combed it, it was still really uneven. There is just no excuse for a haircut this bad. I honestly have done it better myself, with no training at all.
