Great place. Kim does a wonderful cut, color and blow dry. Prices are very reasonable. I was very happy with my experience and I am definitely going back!!!

Hands down the worst haircut I’ve ever received. First of all, Kim’s work is just sloppy. It looks like I gave myself a bowl cut. Furthermore, it’s MUCH shorter than I asked. Not even close. And yet, as upset as I am about the length (or lack thereof), I’m willing to lose more of it by going to a different hairdresser to have this mess cleaned up. At least then I’ll look presentable while I wait several months for my hair to grow back.
It’s also worth mentioning that Kim is not very professional. While she was drying my hair, the heat made my scalp burn. When I told Kim, her response was, «Oh, yeah?» She burned my scalp several more times. Then she put so much product in my hair that it felt as though it hadn’t been washed for a week. The first thing I did when I got home was take a shower.
Needless to say, I won’t be back.

I was very unhappy with the services. Went in with a groupon. Kim cut and blow dried my hair. I was very uncomfortable with whole conversation. Besides, she burnt my hair while blow drying. I wonder if those were the skills or the conversation!

Amazing experience as a first-​time customer at Andrew James Salon! My hairdresser was Mollie and she did a wonderful job. I wanted to get 8 inches chopped off of my very long, thick hair to donate and wanted the rest sculpted into a nice, sleek asymmetrical bob and she did a great job. It was a big chop and she made sure to check in with me along the way to make sure I was comfortable with everything. Everyone in the salon was warm and friendly and made the entire experience fun and professional. I left feeling much lighter, stylish — like a brand new woman! So excited to show off my new do, I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town — you are in good hands at Andrew James Salon!

I came into this salon on a Sunday afternoon and Mollie and her assistant Mariann were so attentive to me. Mollie is master of her trade. She was able to color my roots and highlight at the same time and she did in all in under an hour. She gave me lovely highlights and a refreshing new cut. The salon is conveniently located on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park with plenty of street parking. Will definitely be back. So happy to have found this place. Highly recommend Mollie. Great groupon deal too

Absolutely love Andrew James Salon! Mollie did my hair and it came out amazing. I got so many compliments! Purchased a groupon and I was so happy with the results. I will absolutely go back! It’s a laid back salon and Mollie was awesome. My hair looks so healthy and the highlights are gorgeous. Totally satisfied!!! I highly recommend this salon :)

They moved to New Hyde Park but the staff is the same. My cut looked great when I left. Because of product, product, product but when I had to style it myself after a wash, I found it to be so uneven and my layers were cut poorly. I called several times to complain so they can fix it but no one ever returned my calls and I was ignored. I just moved to the neighborhood and I was looking for a new salon… sorry to say it won’t be this one.

Just had a keratin treatment done with Molly, she was great and did a great job on my hair. We bonded instantly! The other women were friendly as well. I’m glad to have found a good place that’s not far from my home. So excited to go back!

Mollie, Josephine, and Linda are wonderful. They’ve moved to 1314 Jericho Tpke. in New Hyde Park and the place is beautiful. I get color and cut with Mollie every month and can’t get enough. The prices are very reasonable. These are genuinely nice ladies.

Place is excellent no matter who does your hair you will walk out happy. great prices great advice .they moved to new hyde park and I will follow as I’m sure others will also
