My car broke down on the NY Thruway(dead alternator) on Friday afternoon of Labor Day weekend and I had the good fortune to find Godfroy’s Service Station. Bud(the owner) was exactly the kind of person I was hoping to find – highly competent, honest, and willing to go well beyond the extra mile. He managed to find a new alternator for my ten-year-old Saturn(which took calls to several suppliers). He drove me and my passengers to the shopping center down the road so we could get lunch while he fixed the car, and drove back to pick us up once the car was ready. He made sure I understood the warranty on the part, and how I could get warranty service from any NAPA repair facility(and that they could call him and he would vouch for me if necessary). I have high standards as a customer, and I don’t give a five-star rating lightly, but Godfroy’s definitely earned it!
