First time visit, heard great things. Got the Oreo ‘no name’(which is a blizzard type dessert). Good amount of Oreo pieces– pleased with that. The prices seemed really reasonable. CASHONLY Looking forward to trying their yogurt next time.

Best place to go in the summer. Great ice cream and good service. Wish they would accept credit but it’s understandable that they don’t.

A wonderful step back in time, service and taste — cash only. It is worth it. They have crunch cones! Yum!!!

Ranch Frostie is a huge part of the New Lenox community! I would give it 6 stars if I could. Having grown up in New Lenox, I have so many happy memories here. And I love the fact that even though the town itself has changed so drastically since I was a child, Ranch Frostie has stayed with the same great quality and atmosphere as when I was little. And Ranch Frostie as a business has always been very active in the community, supporting local teams and donating to causes. Frostie’s may look like a typical ice cream stand, but their food and desserts are both OUTSTANDING. To this day, I’ve never had a hot dog as good as theirs. I now live in Lombard, but I still am willing to make the drive down to NL for a treat to eat there occasionally. I have yet to find anything close up here in DuPage County. I also love their No Names(just like DQ Blizzards), and their slushies. The ice cream is fantastic! The line can get pretty long on hot summer days, especially around the time when school lets out, but if you’re ordering food only, you can go to the windows on the right. It is always a quicker way to get your order. Even though they get quite busy, they move through people quickly and courteously. I’ve never had a bad customer service experience there. Also, be aware that this is a cash-only operation. They do also close for the winter — they vary their opening and closing day each year, based upon the weather, but their open season is generally around St. Pat’s to Halloween. If you’re in the NL area, give them a try! I’ve been going there for 25+ years and they are still one of my very favorite treats. Thanks for all the delicious food and wonderful memories, guys.

A classic New Lenox small business. This town has grown a lot in the last decade but it sure is nice to see a few things stay the same. Ranch Frostie has been one of those constants in town. They serve great ice cream for a fair price. During the summer time the line can stretch way far out into the parking lot since so many people in town come out for a bite to cool down. I used to always order a chocolate milkshake as a kid; they are fantastic! I would love to see them start selling frozen custard here.

We use to go here all the time. But it has gone downhill. Ice-cream is nothing special. Ground near tables and window is filthy dirty. Gum stuck, uneven sidewalk. Picnic tables are gross. Fence is all torn apart and sharp for kids to hurt them selves. Gaps on the bottom to twist an ankle. Place looks like a establishment is Detroit. Owner is never there to complain, staff is rude and very unhelpful. A smile goes along way. Power wash the tables, clean and fix the sidewalk and you could have a nice place. I wasn’t gonna review but hopefully the owner reads this and fixes the issue. When his father ran the place he had some pride and took care of it. Just being honest.

This place is sweet! Great ice cream! Very vintage. Reminds me of ice cream stands back in the 80’s. Love it!

The Best Ice Cream in the entire Lincoln-Way Area. It’s a small Ma & Pa Place with excellent service. I always get the Turtle Sundae. The kids that work there still hand write the order and add up your order by hand. The place is always busy but they keep the line moving.

We’ve been going here ever since we moved to New Lenox. I’ve never had a bad experience. The ice cream is great and the service is friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable and the kids that work there add everything up on paper, which is refreshing to see and gives me a little more faith in the future of America(or at least the kids that work there).

Classic ice cream joint that’s been around since I can remember. Everything is good, even the«real» food if for some reason you are getting that instead of ice cream deliciousness. The Frosty Drumstick is my favorite… going to need one this weekend methinks…

I have loved this place since I was a kid living on Barbara Lane! We still drive in each year for our Frosties cone and hot dogs!

You cannot go to Ranch Frostie’s without getting a Hot Dog and a hand dipped cone. Both are amazing and the perfect summer treat. They have been around forever and I don’t know one person in the area who would argue that Frostie’s isn’t the best around. No need to go anywhere else.

Great ice cream at a fair price. I like supporting original family owned businesses, and this is a great alternative to the franchise ice cream shops. I usually get an oreo«no name» which is equivalent to Dairy Queen’s Blizzard, vanilla soft serve with a topping mixed in. Perfect place to take the kids sports team after a game.

This place has been there since Jesus was a child, They still have some of the best ice cream around, and they also sell food, hot dogs burgers and such, if you go there you won’t be disappointed.
