Similar to another review about durability of their cabinets. They may seem great when you get them installed, and the process of designing might go okay, however after owning these cabinets for now 3.5 years I truly have to advise anybody shopping for them to stay away. We had a custom home built and tri star did all of our cabinets. Bathrooms and Kitchens, so we are talking many thousands of dollars spent on cabinets. Within 6 months of ownership our master bathroom cabinets had severe peeling on the corners where the wood was joined, and on corners. In our kitchen by the sink we were having the same issue. I called tristar and they sent a guy out to look at them, which took several months to even get them to the house. When he showed up he looked at the cabinets, detached them, noticed some water drops on the bottom edge and said, this isn’t the cabinet its due to the water. Really…your company makes BATHROOM and KITCHEN cabinets and you expect them to not get some water on them? We take care of our home, clean it and wipe down our cabinets. We don’t flood our cabinets with water, any water getting on them is from normal day to day use. The bottom line was he told me I would have to pay to have them refinished, so advised just taking some art pencils flaking off the finish and penciling in those areas. To say I was disappointed with this level of customer service and product backing would be an understatement. I since got second opinions on the matter from people with more expertise than myself, and they have said it is clearly a manufacturer issue. The finish has cleanly lifted from the wood which indicates there was an issue with the prep work done before applying the finish. We have a dark finish, so it is quite obvious in these areas where they peeled and the raw wood is now showing. Now about 3.5 years since they were installed we have more finish peeling in the same areas. It is great to have family and friends over to our nice home, and show them my cabinetry that cost thousands colored with art pencils. I have owned prior homes and never experienced this poor durability from a cabinet before. Although tri-star’s website makes many claims about their quality of craftmanship this is simply not the case. To anybody looking to buy cabinets, i strongly recommend you research the best finishing processes for cabinets and find a company that uses that and stands behind their product as Tri-Star is not that company. I will be sending my feedback to our home builder to advise another cabinet manufacturer be used, and continue to advise people I know against using this company for their cabinet needs with remodels/home builds.

We had our new cabinets installed in 2011 and they still look new. Just beautiful craftmanship and wonderful customer service. We worked with John, who did a great job with measuring and layout. I tell my husband almost every day«I just LOVE my kitchen.»

Used Tri-Star for an apartment rehab project in the city and they did a fantastic job at a fantastic price. We worked with Rick who was great with every step of the process. We had them do the entire Kitchen and 3 Bathrooms, working with them was simple and easy. We were so impressed we also had them build a custom entertainment piece. We will be working with them again in the future!

Had custom cabinet built for my bathroom with in two years finish started coming off they said it was water damage and that i could replace at a cost. Said they only have a ONE year warrenty on their customwork ***really I guess they have no faith in their product**Had someone else look at the door and they said it was in the finishing of the cabinet. when I asked the guy to show me how they water was getting on the cabinet he said he couldn’t …poor customer service… I would NEVER buy anything from them again!

I have had their cabinets in my house for years, and they still look as nice as when they were put in, The other day a plastic support broke on one of the drawers, I thought I am never going to find this part anywhere, they not only had it, they gave it to me because I was a customer, very good business men.
