Dunkin’ Donuts

I found out they now carry non-​dairy alternatives and you can order your coffee with almond milk, which of course changes the entire picture for the lactose intolerant and lactose allergic crowd. So I’m updating the review appropriately.
I also like that they don’t have a drive through service. As a result it has a small town ambience instead of a strip mall feeling like so many others. The employees are friendly, the coffee is good and their veggie egg whites flatbread is becoming a favorite.
Only drawback is the space. Only four tables usually occupied by townspeople and college students carrying animated conversations. There is adequate space for a loft.
With the addition of the dairy alternatives I don’t have to drive 20 miles for my espresso.

No drive through, small parking lot, small shop. Most of the workers are very good at what they do but occasionally the young workers screw up.

Cute little DD shop in New London. It is located in an old New England house, so it has a unique charm compared to regular Dunkin’ shops.

A small but beautiful location. The Dunkin is housed in what appears to be a period building that fits in seamlessly with the neighborhood. Quality is what you’d expect!

My wife and I grabbed a quick bite on our way over to Vermont yesterday.
The wifey had a lite iced vanilla latte (which they didn’t make right) and I had a medium black coffee. We also got 3 boston cremes and a toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese.
The donuts were good, they put a lot of cream cheese on my bagel but if it was toasted I’m shocked. Oh, and that everything bagel didn’t taste like everything. I’d imagine that has more to do with how corporate makes them, but anyway…
As with every cup of coffee I’ve had while up here it was pretty weak. It’s like an epidemic up here. Our well water at the house makes coffee just fine so I’m wondering if everyone just don’t know how to make coffee up here…
