I avoid coming into this Hannafords at all costs, even though I live 30 seconds from it. This store has the worst layout ever and it takes 10 minutes just to find what you want. Prices are high and I wish there was a market basket closer.

Really nice store, though I knew it as Crescenti’s when I attended college in New London in the 90’s. I believe Hannaford’s may have been remodeled since then. Very nice store, easy to find things. Went in to purchase some tylenol and deodorant and to just look around. Everything was fine, employees readily asked if I needed assistance in finding things. Would have been nice to have a self-checkout line or two as it was sort of crowded in the checkout lanes that were open, but I guess that’s me being from a large metro area and being in a rush all of the time. I’m not in a rush this weekend, not at all. I’m sure this store benefits the entire town and especially in the summer when town gains a lot more summer vacationers.

Hannaford in New London is one of the anchors of the town, providing the area with a great place for groceries, deli, fresh produce and sundry items. Additionally, they have an entire section of vegan, vegetarian and organic selections. The fresh produce section of the store is salient, with some of the freshest produce available. As well, the deli sector is outstanding, with the friendly employees being able to concoct some of the items as you wait. Several times they have run out of items such as chicken tenders or rotisserie chicken and upon asking, they get down to business. The store’s remodeling has resulted in two naves with different aisle setups perpendicular to each other. The edible aisles are laid East-West on the eastern side of the store, while the dry goods, pet, laundry, cleaning and others are laid North to South at the Western side of the store. Hannaford is conveniently located at the main plaza a the entrance to the town, within easy walking distance from the post office, the Ace Hardware store, the state liquor store, pet supply store, the restaurant and the drug store among other shopping venues. Plenty of parking.

All the locals have been and go to Market Basket in New London-if you want up-scale-go to the Lebanon Co-=op

This is the only grocery store really from Warner to Lebanon though don’t let that fool you and it is one of the better Hannaford stores. The store is very clean and organized even the bathrooms were sparkling and look recently remodeled. Great beer selection with reasonable prices, fairly decent selection of local and natural foods including milk in glass bottles and lots of fresh meats and produce. Service was also very friendly and helpful, the dairy clerk got me spoon for my pint of ice cream for the road. When head north to Vermont worth a stop to stock up on treats and refresh for the ride.

Wonderful Market in the middle of really nowhere… sorry New London. But I would put them up there with a lower scale version of Whole foods… prices are lower, but they have a good selection of organic foods, produce, and meats. Service is very friendly and you can find an amazing selection of things that are even hard to find in San Fran. Vegans and vegetarian delights… plus uniquely new England products. If you are in this neck of the woods do check it out.

Coming down from Vermont, and skipping the NH Welcome Center(which was three porto-potties), I opted to just wait for the next couple of exits to see I deserved better. With holding in my gripes and a full bladder, I was fortunate to stumble upon this supermarket from Heaven. No, I did not shop for anything, but the staff was friendly and directed me to the cleanest bathroom that I had ever been in any supermarket. Clean floors, clean toilets, full of soap and towels. Two big thumbs up for you!

Nice and friendly people. Very large and clean store. The manager on duty was the funniest and most friendly person ever. The bathroom was well equipped and clean — a must for this girl.

A day at the lake house requires some stocking up. Hannaford, the only supermarket in the area to my knowledge, was a pleasant and surprising answer to all of our needs. Considering we went in there without a list or agenda to speak of, we did quite well. Hannaford was clean, well-lit, well-stocked and boasted an impressive wine selection for a rural New Hampshire Supermarket. But the best part of all? It being Labor Day weekend, the turning of the seasons(Summer to Fall) Hannaford’s afforded us the opportunity to quite literally celebrate this changing of he guard with a selection of brew from both worlds: a six of Sam Summer and a six of Harpoon Octoberfest. The end of Summer and the beginning of Fall, all wrapped up in in deliciously refreshing beers. Thanks for makin’ it happen Hannaford!
