A charming café for breakfast or lunch! I grew up in New Milford and return to town to visit family. I also got married nearby so had lunch here with my small bridal party before our hair appointments. Excellent food – everyone was pleased and the ingredients are top quality. Lots of healthy choices. I love it even more because similar friendly cafes have occupied this space since I was a kid – I love seeing businesses succeed even if they change ownership every 15 years! It is fairly small so it can fill.

What a lovely spot we discovered today! Fresh, organic fare and more than accommodating service. Great atmosphere. Had the eggs Benedict and they were fantastic. We will be returning!

I enjoy this place thoroughly. I have a sensitivity to chemicals and pesticides that are used on a lot of foods, so this is a breath of fresh air. Their food is always so fresh and hearty. I only wish they were open later in the day!

The only place in town with real healthy food options. Excellent service and management too.

The challah French toast and gluten free blueberry pancakes were both out of this world. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was comfy and very clean. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stopped in randomly on our way home from hiking in Kent and were definitely not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious and our server was really good(she was working all of the tables in the dining room and doing an awesome job). I got the beet salad with a cup of tea and my friend got the reuben(with kimchi rather than sauerkraut — yum) Will definitely be back

This is a great, local, organic breakfast and lunch stop. All of their items are made in/house including baked goods. I have gotten the quiche of the day and salad special many times and it has never disappointed. My favorite thing maybe the small pot of tea which is so fun — especially with a fresh baked scone!

Drove 32 miles just to get there and it was well worth the drive! It is extremely hard to find a place that serves organic meat and dairy in addition to veggies! Breakfast was tasty and would definitely go back to try other menu choices! I just so wished that there were more places like this closer to my home in Jersey! If I had the money would open up a chain of organic places just like this one!

I’m an organic fanatic and very picky about food since you seem to see the same old same old around town but not with The Green Granary! Everything is fresh and delicious and wonderful flavor combinations Sandra is a true food artist. Delish

Since my initial visit, Green Granary has become my go-to for lunch since I work nearby. The service can be a tad bit slow sometimes, especially when you’re crunched for time on your lunch break, but still worth it. It’s also one of those places where you get what you pay for. Yes, the veggie burger special was $ 12.95 but it was delicious with local, organic ingredients and fresh mozzarella. I’ve become obsessed with the roasted veggie sandwich. No serious complaints besides the fact that they can be a bit slow and pricy but like I said, it’s generally worth it.

I’ve been frequenting the Green Granary for a little over a year now and have never had a bad experience. They are not a vegan restaurant, but offer a number of delicious, creative, and ever-changing vegan entrees. I unfortunately did not get a chance to try their meat and dairy before changing my diet a little over a year ago, but every guest I’ve ever brought with me has always enjoyed their eggs, chicken, ham or whatever they got. All their sauces and dressings are vegan and taste fantastic. The chipotle mayo is to die for. I’ve taken friends here, I’ve taken a girl on a date here, I’ve taken my mom on a date here. I am always eager to show off this local treasure and the outstanding cuisine they consistently offer. I love the Green Granary.

Great place. Our colleague group numbers 9, and they took us with no reservations and no complaints. Delicious, locally sourced organics. Great baked goods. Friendly and helpful staff… wonderful meal, great times. Put this one on your list.

Ordered carry out here. Lovely cashier. The wait was a bit long. I had the ham and Brie panini. My friend had the chicken salad. The ham and Brie tasted good, though it was a little greasy, and it didn’t bowl me over. The sandwiches came with salads, which had very nice dressing. I’d recommend this sandwich shop if you’re looking for a quick bite.

Really great. We wandered in on Unilocal recs and once again were not led astray. As we entered there was a framed picture of Jerry Seinfeld and David Letterman. Seems they filmed an episode of «Comedians in cars drinking coffee». You can look it up! We sat at the same table as they did. Our touch with greatness. Fresh and warm ginger/lemon scone, avocado and veg omelet, bacon, salad, toast, and fresh coffee. We enjoyed it all and so will you. As far as prices, they seem appropriate. All the ingredients are top notch, served in a friendly manner in a rustic country atmosphere. Everything was clean and the bathroom immaculate. Thank you for that attention. We enjoyed our hour, we enjoyed the Seinfeld connection, and we wish the friendly owner/chef success in New Milford.

Lots of healthy breakfast and lunch options that were tasty but not filling! Dining companions enjoyed 2 hot sandwiches, soup of the day and salad. My «green goddess» smoothie was notably not green, and not particularly impressive flavor-wise. Service was good but I was taunted twice with the possibility of fresh scones coming out of the oven, though none actually materialized. Simple space with good natural light.

Loved this quaint place! It’s a must go! I will explain the 3 stars at the end. My husband and I brought 4 kids with us. All the ingredients were fresh and organic. The ice tea and lemonade was fantastic. I ordered the peach/blueberry salad which was delicious. My husband and daughter ordered the grass fed beef burger!!! The burger is a must! They even let the kids create their own sandwiches to their liking, which was fantastic. The down side of this review is that I have one kid that is gluten free. Gluten makes her feel sick to her stomach. Their menu said that they could accommodate gluten free diets, which we were thrilled about. My 2 daughter ordered the same sandwich, but one was on gluten free bread. It was our mistake for not double checking when she brought the food. Half way thru the meal, my gluten free daughter noticed. We asked the waitress and she confirmed that she made the mistake. My daughter was sick on vacation for the next 12 hours. Word of advice for them. Maybe put a flag or toothpick in the sandwiches that are made gluten free!

There is a beautiful waitress hazel nut eyes, very tall and pretty! Just for her I would come back every Saturday for brunch. They let us order off the breakfast menu, despite it being after 11pm. That’s a plus. The pretty waitress got my order wrong, so I have to remove a star. See pictures added. The lady, who waited on us after her, was an amazing person! So the staff at the place is great! And for that, I would definitely frequent this place.

Adorable little café on the outskirts of downtown New Milford. I would make a snarky New Mildew comment, BUT the New Milf has gotten decidedly classier since I lived there ;) Sure, they were a little pricey, but it was inventive and not processed crap, so I don’t mind paying for such deliciousness. I dig the whole farm to table local thing. I had the Rosemary Ham and Brie panini(which comes with salad, the menu doesn’t make that crystal clear) and loved it, the honey mustard on it was frickin amazing. For dessert(I was going through a craptastic breakup, it’s allowed, right?) I had a delicious slice of cherry tart. I think my lunch tab was about $ 20, but it was good for the soul. Did I mention I adore the décor here? I do.
