Tapas are very very good… love the paella, one of my all time favorites. Love to come here on my anniversary with my wife. The hostest is very nice and helps a ton with questions, the waitresses are awesome… I love that the chef/owner brings out the paella every time… makes us feel welcome. keep up the good work!

This place is incredible! We just had brunch and I can honestly say it’s the best breakfast I’ve had in years. The menu is terrific with something for everyone and the owner/chef is really accommodating. My husband has a gluten allergy and they were able to modify their recipes for him. Also the value for the food and serving size is fantastic. The view of the river is pretty, the service warm and friendly and the food is terrific. Don’t miss out on this brunch and dinner spot. It’s really lovely.

Totally charming place right on the Housatonic River. It looked empty when we got here but it was early in the evening. We sat on the bar side at a very comfortable booth and we were greeted warmly. We ordered drinks, very good and prosciutto wrapped dates from the tapas menu. The server, Penny, was just lovely. She brought us a bread basket with the dates. Both were very good. The house salad was crisp and has little surprises like pickled beets and olives and were quite yummy. I has the Chipinno and my better half wanted the special Spanish meatballs but as an entrée not an appetizer. They we so accommodating and made him an entrée of Spanish meatballs with marinara and linguine. He loved it. The Chipinno was delicious, the fish fresh and tasty. We had a bottle of the Bordeaux with our dinner which was a great choice. We’re waiting for the entertainment to start with a generous dollop of Drambouie and toasting ourselves for making such a great find. We will definitely come back!

Staff was extremely polite they made the visit worth it but they did take a long time to check in with us even just to take our order. Food took quite some time to come out and based on other reviews I expected to enjoy it more than I did. Not the best but not the worst.

Went for lunch… food was eh just ok. The place didn’t seem very clean. We ordered off the pub menu, the regular menu seemed overpriced for the quality of food. It had a really pretty view of the river. Not sure I would go back though

A gem in an area besieged by horrible Italian resturants. On top of that they have some of the best live music in western CT. The tapas are great and diverse without being over pretentious. If you like deserts then Theresa’s will satisfy your sweet tooth. Carl is always raising the bar.

My husband and I went for dinner Saturday, 12÷7÷13. We got there right at 5PM, when they open and sat by their fireplace. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and service. We shared a tapas– calamari fritos with garlic-horseradish mayonnaise(delicious). I had the special of the evening– a mixed seafood grill, that had wild caught salmon, mahi mahi and shrimp. The fish had a wonderful red pepper relish on it that was absolutely delicious(tangy, and sweet, with a pop of flavor). My husband had a chicken with spinach and mushroom dish. Both were served with crispy potatoes and perfectly cooked veggies. The menu is a bit pricey -$ 22-$ 26 average dinner, so I probably would not bring my kids, but we will definitely be back. Worth every penny.

Bistro? A bistro is French, they serve italian food with chorizo in a bar-like atmosphere. The menu is very limited. The best part our meal was the small basket of bread.

I have been here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. I always try his specials, which are thought quite well and fantastic. His burger and fries are great. The black bean burger rocks as well. The tartar sauce is homemade, like everything else, and the beer battered fish great. Best pineapple upside down cake I have had. You cannot go wrong with this place.

This place is fantastic! We have been going there for years. You can sit in the bar, which has it’s own menu, or you can sit in the dining room which has a more extensive menu. Sometime we go and just order a bunch of tapas. Specials are always delicious.
