I did not have a great experience at this nail salon. I was looking for a local place to get a full set of gel nails so I tried Top Nails & Spa. I was quickly greeted and seated. I told them the type(gel), shape and color I wanted. The person doing my nails was constantly interrupted. She was holding my nail(mid-file) and yelling at other people who worked there or greeting new customers. When she got back to doing my nails there were a few times where she seemed confused or(if she wansn’t holding a finger) forgot which one she was on. This made me a bit uncomfortable. She seemed to rush through it so that she could be on to the next customer(only 1 person was waiting with 3 – 4 people doing nails). I wound up with pretty sloppy-looking nails. I asked her why the edges of the nail polish looked so messy and she stated because I chose a light color…(?) I have been to several other salons and it was obvious she was not skilled enough to file/dremel the nail down so that it was nice and smooth, so when she painted them they looked pretty bad. Instead of fixing it, she made an excuse. I will not be back. :(

I’ve been coming here ~ 4 months now. I was referred by a friend after spending 3 years with my previous nail tech. It actually bothers me that Top Nails Unilocal rating is so low so I came to add my 5-start review of this salon. I always make an appointment ahead of time, and it is always honored. One time, I had an appointment and the nail tech called out sick, so the salon contacted me early in the morning to inform me. I really appreciated the heads up. Nothing would’ve upset me more to find out when I walked into the salon. One thing I especially like about Top Nails is that you have the same technician do your pedicure & manicure. I wonder why more salons don’t do this. I’ve only had their most standard pedicure but it includes a scrub, hot stone massage, and an additional rub down with the lotion to finish off. Hot stone massages should be the new standard and if your salon doesn’t, maybe look into this one ;) Someone previously stated in their review that the foot rest on the pedicure chairs are flat instead of angled towards the patron so when you have your feet on it, the corner is in the arch of your foot, which makes it uncomfortable for your feet. I remember reading this review before ever having a pedicure here and I’m sad to say this is true :(But still, the ONLY«negative» thing I can say about this place. I wouldn’t deduct a star for it. The chairs are very comfortable otherwise. My gel manicures by Winnie are always FLAWLESS! She is meticulous and it shows! **FYI — they definitely accept credit cards but TIPS are CASHONLY! Don’t be that guy who shows up without cash.

I got a gift certificate for here and was told it expired, because apparently it was only good for a year. Apparently my friends $ 25 was only good for one year. The employee said there was nothing she can do and refused to call a manager or anyone that could help us. Pointed out that there are 4 different nail salons within walking distance of there, including one right across the street. Will never go here again.

Terrible gel manicure. The girl actually cut my cuticles while they were dry and looked at me like I was crazy when I asked her to soak them in water. It’s day one post manicure and my nails And cuticles look ragged. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I went in to get a regular manicure at this salon this morning. They were a bit busy but they were able to take me right away. I should have just left. The girl literally did my nails in 10 minutes. She rushed the entire process and she did not do a good job. I have smudges and places on my nails that she did not go over with the polish. Also the manicure is $ 10(which is more expensive than other salons I went to in the area). When I gave her a $ 20 bill, she tried to give me my change in $ 5 bills as if she did a great job that I should tip her $ 5. I do not recommend this place. There are so many better salons in the area.

I don’t know why this place has any negative reviews. This is the cleanest nail salon in new Milford. They always do a. Great job with my gel. Make an appointment and you won’t have to wait.

I was really disappointed with the service here. When I walked in nobody acknowledged me. Everybody looked up didn’t say a word. Hi! Hello! How can I help you? Do u have an appointment? We’ll be right with you. Nothing. Everybody went right back to what they were doing. Compared to how spacious it was inside they only had 3 people working. The interior was a little run down, out of date, grimy. I figured they’re busy let me pick a color and take a seat I’m patient. After some time someone finally walks over and asks if I have an appointment. I tell them I don’t. She asks what I was looking to get done. I said I was interested in a pedicure and possibly gel for my nails. She says no. She’s says it’s too late. It was 5pm. Their hours of business clearly posted 7:30pm yet they could not accommodate me 2 hours and 30 minutes before their closing time. Also I was the only person waiting. The 3 employees each had a customer at the time but it’s hard for me to believe that none of them would be done in 2 hours &30 minutes. Honestly none of that matters I left went to my regular place in cresskill and they did a fabulous job. I just hated the way they made me feel –stupid, like I was invisible, like I didn’t matter. They wasted my time. Surely they could’ve used the business for some renovations. Plus the traffic on river road was horrendous.

Every expectant mother should get a pedicure at nine plus months pregnant — I am so happy I did. No wait after work on a Wednesday(was actually empty.) Massage chair comfortable, clean, spacious, and foot massage included hot stone. Parking available in front and back. A treat I foresee happening again — though exactly when may not be entirely up to me at this point! ;)

Not every nail salon is open on Sunday but many are in New Milford. Other salons do a quick rush job and try to turn over as many customers as possible. Come to this salon and see the difference~! It was relaxing, quiet and I did not feel rushed. This place is airy, spacious and not crowded. The pedicure chairs are not on top of each other like the other salons but spaced apart enough that you’re not touching elbows with person next to you. My technician was Gladis and boy did she do a great job! She really took her time and worked on every single toe in detail. She also used the pumice on my feet only on the heels and sides and not in the ticklish part of my arches. When she finished my feet, before she did the polish, she immediately put the pumice in the sanitizer blacklight thing and washed her hands. I would have giving them 5 stars but 2 things bothered me. One, was when I walked in, instead of a ‘Welcome to my salon” greeting I kind of got a little attitude. The other thing that bothered me was the foot rest on the pedicure chair was flat instead of angled towards me so when I had my feet on it, the corner was in my arch, which made it uncomfortable on my feet. Otherwise, it was a very good experience and I will come back. Just please tilt the foot rest next time.

People are nice, but the service is slow. Color gel manicure is a great price at 25 for Bergen county so I wanted to try. Well cheaper definitely isn’t better. Worse color gel I have ever gotten. Looked like a 10 year old painted my nails. Annoyed.
