Manny’s

A throwback to the classic art shop, Manny’s occupies a prime location in the crunchy granola college town of New Paltz on Main Street. A surprisingly deep collection of artist essentials from incredible handmade French marbled papers to kids’ projects to Prismacolors, Golden acrylics, Paper by the Pound, the works! I love shops like this that spark creativity and I could graze here for hours. Not fancy by any means a resource like Manny’s in this day and age should be relished and patronized. Their prices are decent and selection vast. Small art supply shops are falling by the wayside to the big box stores which lack the knowledge and passion of a small art shop employee who is likely an art student his or herself.
This one is for the kid who temporarily blinded me at the check out with his new LED flashlight «toy.»
