Bbq sauce was doctored up ketchup. Not very good at all… Too sweet. Ribs were also equally bad. Service was slow. AVOID at all cost.

Food was amazing, easy to get to location just off I-77. Crowded while we were waiting for waitress, but worth it.

I have lived in the area for over 10 years now and keep coming back hoping that it is better. The sauce is too sweet and the smoked meat is average to dry. For some reason the local people think it is the bees knees but I’m thinking they haven’t had a lot of BBQ experiences. I’ll most likely be back when another person from out of town visits me and wants to try it out, but I’m going to recommend Sammy Sues instead now that it is available just down the street.

As I live in Memphis, TN area I have many places to have great BBQ at home. This place was a disappointment. I had the rib and chicken combo and the skin on both was crispy like it was fried. Second how can you open a BBQ place when your sauce is ketchup base, over sweet and could be used as a desert topping. The cole slaw was average and the fries were good. The décor was good and wait staff did a good job. Just know if you go here the meat will have no smoke flavor and the sauce is the worst I’ve tried.

I had the Tuesday night half rack special and a few wings too. Everything was too saucy and the ribs were very fatty. The beer was good and the service was good too though. Kind of a shame as it looked like a gold mine from the Hampton Inn I was staying at over the road. Seemed like a lot of families were taking advantage of the 2 for 25 offer which seems good value. In fact the value was pretty solid, 2 beers and a meal set me back less than $ 25.

One of our party couldn’t decide between barbecue and a burger. Their menu had a solution… a burger topped with pulled pork. He was definitely a fan. They got wings as an appetizer, we passed but had a tough time not diving in when they graciously offered us a wing or two, as they appeared to be fried sufficiently crisply to render the fat in the skin out into the fry basket while remaining juicy inside. My wife and I both had burgers as well. Mine came with jalapenos, and when it was served I was tickled as there had to be 20 jalapeño wheels on top as opposed to the typical 3! Oddly I could not taste a bit of heat, but not for lack of effort on their part! We were both pleased with our burgers, and the fries were very nicely done crisp exterior with creamy interior. The fourth in our party followed the waitress’s recommendation and got the deep fried pork chop dinner. The waitress was effusive in her praise of the chop, our companion was much less enthusiastic, finding it dry and overcooked. This made me regret asking the waitress what her favorite three dishes were, as I’m fairly sure that until that sales pitch occurred a chop dinner had not crossed our companion’s mind. The chop was the only loser that came to the table, so all in all a good visit. Service was spot on, with never an empty glass on the table and no untoward waits for checks etc.

I got the basic BBQ chicken sandwich and it was still really good! A must eat spot in the area. Seems like THE joint of the area. Pretty cool biker feel, very family focused too. The waiting staff was impressive as well. If you’re a BBQ fan, definitely a spot worth checking out. (Fully stocked bar)

Reasonable prices. Varied menu. Not all BBQ. Biker motif but not extreme. Can take kids. The«Sirloin Tips» are excellent, over rice with mushroom and peppers. Lunch specials are only $ 5.00.

I literally eat here to remind myself why I don’t eat here. Their idea of ‘barbecue’ is blasphemous, their sauce is way to sweet, reminds me of something you’d find in Georgia or Florida(note: neither state is known for good barbecue). The only redeeming quality is the attractive waitresses. Go to Sammy Sue’s in Dover instead(unless you prefer a motorcycle-themed restaurant to delicious barbecue).

We ate here at the recommendation of a local friend. I will say the locals seem to love it and maybe regional differences are the reason we did not. We’re from The south. We had ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The pulled pork was the best of the 3 and it was tasty and moist The BBQ sauce was a definite thumbs down for us. I enjoy a sweet BBQ sauce but the ribs and the brisket, which were drenched in their sauce, seemed almost candied. It was too sweet for our taste. The potato salad was very good. The Cajun rice was a little bland and a tiny portion! The veggies were so cooked they were very soft but our little one found them easy to eat. Our order was to go but Hubbie said the atmosphere was nice and the service was very good. They called us after we picked up our order because they left a side out. No restaurant has ever done that, so high praise there! They also included the chocolate peanut butter cake as an apology, very nice!

Again, this is THE place to have dinner in this small town. I have been there countless number of times in last 2 yrs. I always sit at the bar and I have found all the bartenders very friendly and entertaining. I have met very interesting people at the bar and have had very interesting conversations. The food isn’t bad at all. My fav is grill tuna steak salad. I also like their burgers and spicy wings. Wish they had better beers.

Ribs ribs ribs… They are so amazing here. I have been here many times and I never stray. Ribs that are tender and fall off the bone with a great sweet sauce. I have their BBQ sauce at home! I hear their pulled pork is good too.

My review is going to be based off of a one time experience, but the time I went there was not the best. I have been to a place called Quaker Steak and Lube in Canton, Ohio. That place is famous for their wings, and they should be. Their wings are to die for. Hog Heaven’s wings are really super extra(you get my point) bad compared to QS&L wings. HH’s cheesy fries are good, but not the best I’ve had. I will not be going back to HH, and if I do I will not order their«famous» wings.

Had the family meal for $ 40. More than enough to feed 4 hungry people. Ribs 9.5÷10. Wings 8⁄10. Pulled pork 7⁄10. Garlic bread 9⁄10. Mac and cheese 9⁄10. Baked beans 7⁄10. I’m a food junky and I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to Hog Heaven. Get the ribs. Good atmosphere, cold beer. Enjoy.

I can’t understand the negatives! My family and I were there last night and it was nothing short of delicious! We ordered the family special and the ribs and pulled pork and wings were stupendous. The baked beans and fries were a great compliment to the meal as well as the garlic bread. The service was in a word outstanding! Our appetizer washout in less than 5 minutes! Only downside to the restaurant is they do not have draft beer and advertise bottled beer that is not sold there. Can’t wait to go back.

The service was good enough(although not outstanding). But the BBQ pork that I had came out of a refrigerated/frozen bag(very easy to tell). Shredded to smithereens and dry dry dry. Needed a huge amount of the sweet bbq sauce to make it edible. There’s just no excuse for this at a place named Hog Heaven. I just can’t find anything redeeming in a place that serves ruined pork shoulder as a primary menu item(and it is quite hard to ruin that if you cook it on premise).

Stopped in for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. The burgers are great, good beef and nice and juicy. The beef brisket sandwich is tasty, it’s all about the sauce, and I think there was some bacon on it. The pulled pork was sadly lacking, where the brisket was coated in the sauce, the pork came with the sauce on the side. The pork was dry and rather bland, adding sauce just didn’t do enough. And the decorations were great, pictures of motorcycle rides to all the biker hot spots and a full dresser harley in the restaurant. Rest for the 3 and not 4 is simple, they had pepsi not coke.

I’ve driven past Hog Heaven several times and didn’t go in; it’s really not that inviting from the outside. I went in the other day and boy was I surprised! It has sort of a Lone Star Steakhouse kind of feel inside and the food was unbelievable! I had some amazing chile as well as ribs, wings, and onion rings. The ribs were perfect. I HIGHLY recommend a visit.
