Don’t schedule your hair apt on a Tuesday. I tried this hair salon out because of the good reviews it had on other sites. I called up and asked for an apt any day after 5:30. The receptionist was very nice and scheduled me for Tuesday. The day arrives and I go. The place was totally empty inside except for one lady working there, and her friend’s son, whose eyebrows she was working on. After waiting for a while she decided that she would finish what she was doing later and cut my hair. I wanted a pretty drastic change from what I currently had. I was asking her to cut a good 16 inches off. She was knowledgeable, and gave me feedback on the pictures that I had brought for what I wanted. Then things went down hill. She rushed through the haircut, leaving chunks of my hair longer than the rest of it. She spent the entire haircut telling me about how she doesn’t like having apts on Tuesdays and she doesn’t take on new clients. I was left sitting there wondering why the heck the receptionist scheduled me for that day with this lady if she didn’t want to actually work. I later figured out that she owned the place. What kind of business owner treats a new customer like that?! Totally unprofessional. When the haircut was over I paid her for her time, I didn’t think it was right for her to work for free just because the salon was having a first time customers get a free haircut promotion. I asked about scheduling my next apt and she looked shocked and confused. She reluctantly scheduled it. Six weeks later, an hour before my second apt, the receptionist calls up and cancels. No attempt to reschedule, nothing. I have taken my business elsewhere since this salon made it clear they don’t want any new customers.
