As I have made a conscious effort to spend more locally during the holidays, I really enjoyed my experience. I had an idea in my head of what I was looking for in a necklace for my wife. When I came in I was greeted warmly and allowed to pursue without any hovering. I looked through all of the cases and saw a good range of many different types of jewelry. After locating a few pieces that were interesting the sales person came over and was very helpful. I picked out a few items and he showed them to me. Reasonable prices for the pieces I found. One did not come with a chain so I asked if he could find one for me. He then showed me how the piece that came with a chain could be removed and the other added. «Just trying to save you some money.» He said with a wink. How nice!
At checkout he told me that if they had my email on record I would’ve received a $ 100 off since I’d gone over a sale threshold they had running. He smiled and included the $ 100 off anyway. This is why we all need to shop locally more. You don’t get service like this from a chain store or online. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ will go back again!

Went to Morristown Store with a friend. Was asked if I wanted my rings cleaned. Next day I noticed a baquette missing. Called store and spoke to the owner. She said they check the rings before they are cleaned for fractures and loose stones and also after they are cleaned. I insisted she check the cleaner. Well, my baquette was found cracked in the cleaner. No apologies, no offer to fix the ring at a discount. She wanted to know if I wanted to leave the ring there it get fixed What? Are you kidding me? Asked to speak to the owner and to my surprise she said she was the owner! My friend spends lots of money there… do you think they would have treated her the same way they treated me! I asked her the same question and got some kind of rehearsed response.
The last time I patronized this establishment was 20 years ago when I brought my grandmothers gem quality aquamarine for an appraisal. The appraiser on site said it was a piece of glass. After I insisted they send it to the gem society of America for second opinion it was indeed a gem quality Aqua. TAKE YOUR BUSiNESS ELSEWHERE!

Braunschweiger Jewelers has been my choice for quality jewelry gifts for years. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, knowledgeable or friendly. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Went here once. The guy seemed not to really want my business. Maybe I wasn’t rich enough for him, since he asked if my budget for an engagement ring was «$ 20,000». I assumed he was joking, but I was wrong. The styles he showed me were all very boring and typical, I found MUCH better elsewhere for the same prices.
