B & A Barbershop

I’ve been going here for over a year and I can say this is definitely the best barber shop in New Rochelle. For $ 17 they always do a great job and everyone is really friendly.

Good hair cut at a fair price, $ 17 as of this writing.
I liked the skill and chair-​side manner of Boris, the «B» of B&A, when he cut hair at another shop in New Rochelle. When Boris opened his own shop — with brother Alex, the «A» in B&A — I made this place my regular barber shop.
That was 10 years ago, when I still lived in Southern Westchester.
A Manhattan resident in recent years, I’ve been getting haircuts from another 20-​something whose parents emigrated from Uzbekistan. Turns out, every NY area barber I’ve used in the past 17 years has come from the region. Neighborhood Barbers in the East Village, Midtown Barbers in the Chrysler Building and B&A Barber Shop in New Rochelle. All know what they’re doing and run a professional operation.
A couple notes:
– There are seven chairs, so wait times are short unless you are particular about using a specific barber.
– The electric head and neck massage is a nice touch.
– During Christmas and New Years, these guys treat patrons to snacks and libations.
– Meter parking is convenient when the lot is full
– There’s a woman barber, who has been working at this shop for 10+ years and does a great job.
I pay $ 22 in Manhattan and the B&A cut is just as good. If you need a haircut and find yourself in New Rochelle, this is a good place.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for 15+ years. I’m very particular about how it comes out and I’ve never been let down!
