I have to say first that the people here are very nice, and we have been stopping by since our kid was very little. It’s on the way for us and very close. That being said, I ordered for some work people and the next few weeks someone ordered from other places. You can taste the difference. They roll the pumpernickel and other added things into the bagel– not the same as having it right on the outside. Also the bagels don’t have that slightly dry crispy outside like other places. Cinnamon raisin needs some whole raisins and a few times it tasted like they rolled in extra dough from other flavors. It’s probably a little underdone. I never really noticed until I had others right afterwards.

You have to get there early as unlike quaker ridge not a lot of turnover. Bagels often undercooked and by noon hardly seem fresh. Shocking how so many great reviews. Mediocre at best. Sad yet true.

Best bagels, hands down, and have been for decades. The black Russian; a pumpernickel baked with onions in the dough them covered with sesame seeds All kinds of spreads, all flavors of bagels, also muffins and juice and coffee. Come with cash — they don’t take plastic.

Its not fancy but the bagels are so good. YUM! The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the cash only but there is an ATM onsite.

This is probably the area’s best kept secret in terms of bagels. Place is a dive. Service is good. I would agree that the bagels are as good as the best places in NYC. I’d say it’s almost comparable to my old favorite Bagelsmith in Williamsburg.

Bagels were perfect — excellent texture. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars was the lack of fruit-based cream cheese.
I like their unbeatable deep-fried crispy bagels and miss them if I don’t get a chance to visit the store once in awhile.

love me some sammy’s bagels. yum. I would try the sammy stick– the best bagel unrolled and cooked to perfection. if you’re lucky you can catch them when the bagels are still hot. ooh ooh ooh. if you are traveling grab a few before heading to the airport. chances are you will be delayed in NYC and these things are lifesavers!

Great bagel without a doubt. No real gril and it’s kosher, so no bacon, egg and cheese here. but the lox is killer. they have spenda too.
