I generally never have a bad experience at a sports bar but this was pretty bad. Service was lacking, food was mediocre at best. Wings had terrible sauce, buns were burnt, and fries were soggy. The beer was pretty flat(Stella) and just generally not a good experience. I wouldn’t recommend this bar to anyone. Just got my bill, over charged… for sure not a good experience.

I had eaten here before but under different owners. The food is mostly better under the new owners. The wings are good, but the calamari oily and mediocre. The shepherd’s pie tasted good and was flavorful, so was the shrimp salsa. Unfortunately, I ordered the Whiskey Chicken and it was nothing as how it was described on the menu. The menu stated au gratin potatoes and I got fries and the chicken was suppose to come in a cream sauce but it was a broth. When I asked the waitress about it she said that it was a choice between fries and potatoes but they never stated that on the menu or told me I had a choice. Then she said that she would bring me mash potatoes in which she never did and apologized after the meal was eaten. I told her to forget about it. This already left a bad taste in my mouth. The reason for the 2 stars. I would not be back anytime soon.

Perfect bar for a laidback, casual, fun vibe. Friendly bartenders, proper taps, jukebox, and the food is surprisingly excellent! I had lobster bisque and a shrimp wrap, my man had the chopped salad — all were fresh and taaasty! This place is pretty much my new favorite local bar. Don’t judge a book by its cover! Absolutely coming back

They always have a beer on tap that I love. Service is great, food comes quick, and the food is great. Not greasy bar food, it’s actual good real food. Order the steak sandwich, you won’t be disappointed

I went on a Friday night after work with my wife. Sat at the bar since I wanted a really chill experience. Had a few pints. Good beer selection. Not extensive but good. Ordered the chicken pot pie which was a special that day and it was fantastic! Super fresh ingredients and loaded with chicken. For dessert I had the crème brûlée which was out of this world. Moved on to a few Jacks on the rocks and a few tequila shots. Jenny our barmaid was awesome and the staff makes you feel like family. I cannot wait to go again!

We always support the local businesses of new rochelle, but most recently the food was as if the Chef had a day off. Zucchini was frozen even the breading was detached. Pork ribs seemed to b reheated with sauce simply added. Drinks were watered down. We hope this restaurant regroups. We always enjoy the staff.

Love Tailgate! My boyfriend and I live down the street and frequently go there for after work drinks. The staff always remembers our beer choice and will stop to ask us how our day is going! They have amazing beer specials during NY sports games, and the all around atmosphere is lovely. I recommend this place to anyone who loves an ice cold beer and good food!

I paid this place a visit because we wanted to be «adventurous» and try something new in the area. We dropped by on a Friday night and noticed that the bar area was packed with locals. The drinks here are generously poured and the deals are awesome. If a big«local» game(Yankees, mets, jets, Giants, Knicks, nets) is playing, they extend happy hour pricing. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and an order of Mac n cheese. The grilled chicken sandwich was served on a hero with cheddar cheese and mushrooms. The bread was awesome, sort of like a cross between a hero roll and a croissant. Chicken was also excellent and the waiter mentioned that they use all local ingredients. Nothing comes out of a bag. The Mac and cheese rivals some of the best that I’ve had at higher end steak houses. The portion is ginormous and the prices were very cheap. The desserts looked incredible but I just didn’t have anymore space. Almost forgot to mention that they have the best sweet potato fries in new Rochelle. They appeared to be hand cut and were battered with some rice flour. They had tv’s everywhere playing different games.

All of the staff and owner make a friendly effort for you to enjoy your time there. The food is way above expectations of sports bar and reasonable. Pigs wings a wonderful surprise and lobster risotto a pure treat. Truly a nice neighborhood restaurant worthy of a trip with a great set-up for watching your favorite game, better than a sports bar. Will be back when in area or driving thru New Rochelle.

It’s a great new spot, don’t be fooled by the exterior either as you might think it’s more high end but nothing could be further from the truth. The food really stands out here as it’s not the typical«grease plate» that you’d expect from a sports bar, and what’s even better is that it’s a more affordable menu than one would think. Plenty of big screen TV’s all around showing every and any sporting event going on.

Visited during my lunch hour with a friend. The establishment has a wall of six large screen LCD TVs over the bar, and an additional three(or so) TVs in the restaurant area. Place is cozy but inviting, clean and crisp. Menu was reasonable and was very impressed with my chicken quesadillas – one of the best!(Yay for dark and* white meat!) my friend had a wonderful smelling wrap and the sweet ol potato fries were fresh. Will come again!

Great combination of a lively sports bar, but with an upscale menu that is way above typical pub fare. I’m a bit of a pub food snob, but the whiskey chicken was heaven. And I can’t believe I’m saying it, but the ‘pig wings’ were fantastic! You should not leave this place without trying them. Kudos to the owners on pairing a fun sports bar with a chef who really knows how to cook!
