Detwiler is little park not far from the New Smyrna beaches. Certainly not a big park but a very cool one if you happen to like tennis or hoops.
The little park boasts five lighted tennis courts, all in great condition. You don’t need a reservation except for tournament play and can just grab a court and start whacking around some tennis balls.
The park also has a very nice basketball court, a playground and some bathrooms. Not a lot of room for a walk, this park is centered around the fantastic tennis courts.
If you happen to stroll over on the far end of the park you will notice that it has a small and old cemetery. Definitely an odd combination.
Detwiler is a small park that is well known to tennis players in the area. A cool place to play as long as you don’t mind a very still and old audience quietly watching.
