Sheetz

In the 15+ years that I have been making the drive back and forth between Ohio and South Central PA, this Sheetz has always been waiting for either before or after I get on or off the Turnpike. Gas hasn’t been the cheapest in the area here lately heading west to east, but I still end up stopping here anyway because the bathrooms are clean and there is a ridiculously large amount of junk food available here.

Sheetz is Amazing, coffee is great, you can get made to order sandwiches, hot drinks, cold drinks, salads and the list goes on with there ever changing menu. I was spoiled growing up with this amazing «gas station» in my back yard. Having moved to Georgia last year I feel lost with out my go to coffee place and quick and easy lunch. Please Sheetz come to the south I need you.
If you have never been to a Sheetz stop what your doing and go there. Do not be afraid of the affectionately termed order point. Its a touch computer screen that you can get anything you want at the touch of a button. Don’t be afraid to ask one of the employees to help you they will gladly show you how to work this magical machine of the future! You will never want to go to another gas station as long as you live.

We stopped here to get gas and a soda and walked into the Disneyworld of convenience stores! Clean, brightly colored, a huge selection of beverages and snacks. There was also a kitchen inside. That’s right, no rotating hot dogs. These clerks were actually cooking made-​to-​order burgers, sandwiches, salads, fajitas, and breakfast. The menu offers a vast variety to choose from.
Then there was the make-​your-​own-​shake machine.

The shake machine looked like a gadget from space. You pick an ice cream flavor: chocolate or vanilla in a 24 oz. cup. Next, place the cup in the machine and press a button. The machine elevates the cup to the mixer. You can control how much mixing you want: thick or liquid shake. Again, this was the COOLEST THING EVER!
We spent more than enough time discovering the wonder that is Sheetz. Clearly, we were from out of town (especially when we were spotted photographing the magical shake machine.) I would love to check this place out again, or even better, have one built in Cincinnati!

Oh, Sheetz of New Stanton, how often has my CR-​V graced your pumps on an earlier Friday afternoon? Too many to count…
We make the long drive from eastern PA to Columbus, OH way too often. To the point that a toll person recognized me the other day. So that means that I buy a lot of gas along that route, and the New Stanton exit is one of our favorites. This is about where my gas tank hits ¼, so it’s very convenient. The Sheetz is an easy on, easy off from the highway. Clean pumps, little trash in the parking lot & very clean restrooms. On the few occasions that I’ve purchased something other than gasoline, the employees that I’ve interacted with at the counter were very friendly. Gas is normally a few cents cheaper here than it is on the turnpike.
Plus, there’s a Wendy’s across the street (which I’ve eaten at, again, more times than I can count).
