What a cute little lunch place! Went here for lunch today & I was so impressed. I believe it was a mother and daughter working, they were very friendly and talked us through everything they offer. They have such unique sandwiches and ramen dishes. I ordered The Great Salmon Caper, my boyfriend ordered Shore Like the Sea Shore & we split an order of the Samurai Ramen(they happily divided it into two bowls for us). Everything came out in a timely manner & tasted delicious. They don’t have fountain drinks, but they sell ‘Mexican Sodas’. They are coke products in glass bottles, and I believe she said that its produced with honey instead of high fructose corn syrup. My boyfriend and I are not big soda drinkers but we decided to try these and we are glad we did. They tasted good and didn’t have a lot of carbonation. All in all it was a great experience — We left full and happy! We will be going back soon!

Stopped in after getting a hair cut next door. Was feeling starving, exhausted and just in need of food. Hector suggested trying The Amazing. Good call. It was indeed«amazing». Took it home with a bag of chips and hubby and I devoured it and quickly thought maybe I should have ordered two… Only thing I regret is that I did not ask for, nor did I receive a pickle on the side. I was waiting for my sandwich and it was 11:30 so maybe Hector just didn’t think of it at the time. He was busy taking orders on the phone and waiting on another customer. I will be back, will try more sandwiches on the menu and will make sure I have a pickle on the side! Excellent taste and wonderful bread with very happy people waiting on you. If you eat«subs» on a regular basis then try this place!

I live in the area and New Wilmington needed a new restaurant in town, something different! The dirty pickle appeared to be just what it needed. The first time I went I loved it. The service was quick, the people were nice, and the sandwiches were amazing. While the sandwiches are still just as good, the second, third, and fourth times I went I was very disappointed. Even when there was no line it took almost half an hour to make, they’re not even cooking the sandwiches so I have no idea why it took so long. When I go there it’s because I want something delicious on a time crunch. If I wanted to wait a half hour, I’d get something somewhere else. Another issue is the seating. They have NOWHERE to sit– one table with four chairs. If other people are there, I have to stand around and wait while my sandwich is being made. Not only did it take forever to make, the place has the WORST hours. It’s open from 11 – 2, and in New Wilmington no one who lives here is available to go there at the time. Any time I want to go I can’t because it’s closed. I will not be going again, the sandwich is good but not good enough to plan your day around and stand to wait half an hour.

Why have you not tried this yet?! If you haven’t, it is only because you have lead a life of disappointing sandwiches and are disenchanted that there could actually BE a place where a sandwich is the perfect sum of every one of it’s ideal elements. So– hold onto your smartphones– THIS is the place you need to get to!(Hopefully for you, it is between 11−2p) The menu may look limited but it is actually just a launch pad of ideas that showcase the fresh, filling and flavorful ingredients available at hand for you to create your own masterpiece of a perfect sandwich. Here is the breakdown: You will leave sated and wanting more(maybe grab one to go for dinner, so you won’t be so sad if you are craving an Amazing sandwich after 2pm) You will happily dine on unique sodas, Dirty brand chips(if you haven’t had them– think gourmet kettle chips with all of your favorite seasonings), a large sandwich on some of the best bread you may ever try(locally baked artisan– soft with a firm crust, but not hard or leathery– excellence), and — the token Dirty Pickle on the side. The Dirty Pickle was like a favorite dill with a kick of sweet pickle. Great balance, whatever they use. If you still have room — check out the selection of Katie’s Korner ice creams! My selection today was the salmon, a cream soda and sour cream and onion Dirty Chips. Ask Hector to recommend something and you cannot go wrong. Looking forward to trying something new on my next visit!

The sandwiches here are amazing. I had the Salmon and it blew my mind. Every bite better than the last. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the bread is fresh and perfect. I stopped in while on a motorcycle ride through the area and highly recommend this place to my fellow riders. They also have ice cream and old fashioned sodas. The owners are super friendly and will help with deciding from all the delicious options. The town is also quite nice to walk around. This place is a must!

The«Shore Like the Sea Shore» is the best sandwich I’ve put in mouth since moving west from Philadelphia. Seriously, where I’ve been, even the density of the bread is of the utmost importance, and TDP just nails every part of it. Staff is very friendly and courteous, and the atmosphere is fun and attractive. Definitely a winner!
