Dollar General

Dollar General is a small convenience store (think of a pharmacy and all that they have sans the prescription drugs). They have everything from boxed groceries (snacks, canned goods, drinks, etc.) to cleaning supplies and other household items. Not all items are priced at exaftly $ 1 (wouldn’t that be great?) but they are cheaper than other stores.
This particular branch is large, clean and always has a friendly staff on hand. I’ll usually come in to grab a few things (kitchen items for cleaning, etc.) and I’ve never had a problem or difficulty finding anything. Greeting cards are always a great thing to pick up here — much cheaper than buying them at a CVS, etc. and on your way out you can pick up a gift card to throw inside.

I stopped in here looking for some stationary supplies. The store is fairly large and has a decent selection and assortment of items. They carry some of the major brands that a regular grocery store would sell, but they also have a lot of smaller odds and ends items. Not many items in the store are $ 1, though. Most of the items are generally overpriced for what is claimed to be a dollar store. I left empty-​handed, mostly because they did not have a basic item that I was looking for, but also because none of the prices appealed to me. There were only two other customers in the store on a Saturday night and what appeared to be 2 employees.
