This is probably the worst of all Sonics. I’ve been there at least 10 times and is hard to remember one ovation that nothing went wrong. Rude, careless attendants, the drive is either abandoned or the line will take you close to 30 minutes to get your food. Then, you are up forge really good surprise… your order is either wrong or is made so disgusting that you can’t eat. I will take some time and complaint to their corporate office as this is ridiculous. People should be aware on what happens in that store and take action.

Have given this place 4 try’s and must say, I have been disappointed each time since they opened up. Awful service and horrible food quality. Seriously needs management! Should not be waiting 15+ minutes at a drive thru for 3 drinks and an order of jalapeño poppers. Will not be returning for a fifth waste of time and money.

Worst Sonic experience ever. First of all, who answers the intercom«Can I help you»? No «thank you for choosing Sonic» or anything. That, in and of itself, doesn’t matter. It took me 17 minutes to get a lemon water. 17 minutes! It’s water. With a lemon. I pushed the button and waited. And waited. Then had to call back in to get the lemons for said lemon water. 17 minutes is too long to wait for a cup of water I don’t care where you are. And how do you screw up lemon water? There’s 2 ingredients. Only thing that would have made this worse is if they had just brought me lemons in a cup. So I made the mistake of giving this place another chance the following day. I ordered 2 Chicago dogs with no mustard, and a drink. Again, took forever. Chicago dogs were on regular buns. Poppy seeds aren’t that big a deal. Some would argue they are only for looks anyway. It’s the principle of the matter. If you are unable to make a customers order the way it is supposed to be, you should tell them up front. I don’t know if the employees here don’t give a crap, or if they’re just ignorant.

Good food… I’m sad that they did away with the boneless chicken wings I love those… but the female who was working the drive thru yesterday was very rude… it’s not that hard to put a smile on and be polite to customers

I have been to many different Sonic’s, but this is the first time I have ever experienced such rudeness and incompetence. My friends and I were up in New Windsor playing Airsoft and needed some quick food before we made the trek back to New Jersey. We thought that Sonic would be a good choice. But the woman who was taking orders was very rude. She was rushing us and kept interrupting while we were trying to order. She also cut us off the speaker early before we finished ordering and didn’t even give us our order total. I ordered the jumbo popcorn chicken with tater tots and a cherry limade, one each for my brother and I. The chicken was decent. The tater tots were not crispy at all and very soggy. The cherry limades were TERRIBLE. If you have ever ordered a cherry limade, you know that its sprite or sierra mist or 7-Up mixed with cherry syrup. Our cherry limades were water mixed with cherry syrup. It tasted horrible and disgusting. When I tried to tell/explain to the car hop about the cherry limades, all she did was give us so much attitude and brought back exactly was we had before, water and cherry syrup. It was so disappointing to have to pay for food and not get what you ordered, plus the car hop giving you so much attitude. This sonic is no longer getting our business.

I live somewhat close by to sonic so I do enjoy going there during the nicer weather. Their burgers are very good and it’s really fun having the servers Rollerskate up to your car! Just don’t go there if you are a little pressed for time. The food is very good though for a fast food chain!

I can not say enough about Cherry Limeade. It is the greatest beverage to ever be thought of. I cannot even dream of a more delicious drink. To top it all off, the shakes and other foods at Sonic are also great. If you have never been, GONOW!

went here a few times nothing special. First time I waited 26 minutes for 2 cherry limeades. The car hops were walking, not on skates. The guy behind the drive through window was wearing skates though… I dont get that. Service sucks they seem way understaffed and their hotdogs are GROSS.

I stopped at this location on the way home from work for a quick dinner to bring home to my husband. There was only 1 car at the drive-thru window when I pulled up to the ordering kiosk. After being told«I will be right with you» I waited for a minute or two and then ordered a chicken sandwich and a small diet coke. I then pulled up behind the car that was still at the window. And waited… Finally the car moved and I pull up with my money in hand. I expected to be acknowledged but no. So I sat there — watched the cashier play with the screen in front of her, another worker was standing with her — they were talking and then bumped each other as they laughed and he then walked away. Not my cashier though — she kept hitting something on her screen in front of her — but wasn’t looking out the window at me to either collect my money or apologize for the delay. So after a couple more minutes and watching the woman in the red shirt finish filling the chocolate syrup in her station, I waved my arms and the cashier looked out and then opened the window. Did she say sorry for the wait — or sorry I didn’t see you??? Wait — how about Hello??? No — She just stated the amount due. So I asked her — «No sorry for the wait?» She said — Oh — Sorry. I said me too and handed her the money. She took it and closed the window — no other interaction. Not even to give me my change. So I waited some more, the red shirt woman came over and looked at her screen and at this point I am done. So I waved for attention. They wouldn’t open the window but instead looked at me. I said I changed my mind — they said something to each other and they gave me my money back — without even a word. I drove away, went to Wendy’s and had a great experience. Next time I am coming home from work in that direction — I will take this experience into account when deciding where to spend my money.

My daughter wanted to try Sonic. Okay. yuk! Just fried fast food. To top it off, the onion rings tasted sweet? then I figured out that they are serving breakfast and they are frying the onion rings along with the French toast sticks! Come on folks, don’t you know you can’t do this? I won’t be back. The rest of the items were just ok. service was good, thanks for that, bathrooms clean.

Blah, what can I say about Sonic other than dry burgers. I think it’s great that they make your food to order and they stick to the old school theme of 1950’s drive ins but dry burger? No thank you. The tater tots were pretty darn good though.

I hate to give a Sonic only two stars but this one in Newburgh never fails to disappoint. I have been here several times, always hoping I will get the Sonic of my Texas memories but it never happens. Wrong orders, bad lemon-berry slush, bad malts… Ugh, sorry guys, I hope you get your act together soon.

I have never made it out of there in under 30 minutes. It always takes so long. I watched the drive thru lane sit there not moving at all and the car next to mine at the pull up order spot was there even longer than me and seemed to be going nuts. The servers are always really nice and and ice cream is decent but I always regret going because it takes SO long.

I love this place. Not really much to say about this infamous fast food spot. This location is new and the long lines have died down. Plenty of car spots and if you have been to one you know the food is actually really good. If you haven’t been to one you must experience one.

Newburghers have been taunted by Sonic commercials for years. I say taunted because most of us have never seen a Sonic before!!! It’s in the Walmart parking lot so it’s easy to find. The deal is that it’s all drive thru. It’s kind of like a gas station. The server ACTUALLY rollerskates your order out to you.(Our guy didn’t really know how to stop but hey, I’m not there for the graceful service.) I wasn’t hungry(I had just been to FIVEGUYSBURGERSANDFRIES) so I ordered a milkshake, since they are BUYONEGETONEFREE!!! How amazing is that??? For $ 2.91 I got a vanilla shake for my mom and the most delicious, sweet, creamy, fresh peanut butter and hot fudge shake for myself. When they say real ice cream, they mean it. It’s gonna be a long summer.

Went for a ride yesterday to check out the first Sonic in Orange County! Woot woot, we’re really moving up in the world. First of all the location, it’s basically in the Wal-Mart parking lot right off of Rt. 300, so you go get yourself some new clothes then stroll across the parking lot and pick up a Sonic burger. It was a pretty shitty day(weather wise) so we thought the line wouldn’t be too bad, it was about 10 cars deep(for a stall) and it moved pretty quickly. It’s the same as every other Sonic in this country so I’ll spare you the details on the food. Their beverage selection is where it is at. The shakes, limeades and the such are really, really good. Anyway, it’s def worth a trip if your in the area and especially if you’ve never experienced Sonic!
