They closed down. Don’t know why. I heard it was management. The place was ok. Nothing crazy but the wings was ok. That’s about it.

Did not eat the food, just came here for a quick drink while waiting to meet my friends elsewhere. A few things: 1) Place is dark AF, its like they want you to feel like its actually 1849. Was here around 5 on a beautiful spring day, but you would never know it inside. 2) Feel like your in some kind of old school cabin, which is kinda cool, but I feel like it wasnt REALLY working for this place 3) Bathroom was pretty gross My beer was fine, but I do not see any reason to come back here.

Place full of rude ass staff… how and why is the waitress upset at the customers(dam near fighting words/stance when SHE brought the wrong orders… Yes multiple wrong ORDERS after we waited sooo long. On top of it we ended up getting kicked out by the racist ass manager or whoever ALAN is(well he made himself appear that way). He didnt even have the balls to tell us(even tho he was a few feet away from us). didn’t look us in the face didnt hear our story he just tells the doorman I dont want to deal with those people just don’t let them back in. What exactly do you mean by «those people» even the doorman informed us the waitress was getting a lot of complaints. She was freaking overworked she’s taking care of upstairs and downstairs running around like a chicken without a head… hire some staff! & they have the nerve to charge 18 or 20% gratuity?.. well they kicked us out so whatever we did eat n drink was on the house & we were even willing to go back in and pay… o well suck a D***k 1849… Sorry Unilocal and Unilocalers but this was a really bad experience

In my opinion the service in this place was horrible. There was a red headed waitress that kept giving me and my group of girlfriends attitude. Not friendly or approacable waiter or waitress on a Wednesday night. The waitress never asked if we wanted anything else or if everything was ok. She decided to talk crap about me and my friends to the table next to us. When she gave us the bill and we asked for the manager she stated there was no manager and laughed while she walked away. There are better sports bars and wings in Bleecker. Never coming back.

Great sports bar for a few inexpensive eats and drinks. I’ve been going here for years with friends, Sunday’s and Monday’s they have 55 cent wings and $ 3.50 drinks, can’t beat that. Tons of TV’s and great atmosphere. Favorite sports bar in NYC.

The atmosphere is good the music was entertaining and the crowd was decent. My waitress was pretty good and so were all of the others despite the fact that she was drunk. I gave this place 3 stars because I was over charged. I had an additional drink charged on my bill and I was charged extra for bacon on my sandwich with I didn’t order or receive. I do plan on coming back I will just have to make sure I check my receipt before I give my card.

1849 is well worth the trip, and don’t miss the Happy Hour on Monday nights! Stopped by 1849 last night and caught the Happy Hour Drink specials, half price drinks works for me! I like the atmosphere at 1849, wood panels from floor to ceiling, comfy couches and tables, and lots of big screen TV’s. We got there early in the night so there was plenty of seating but the placed filled up quickly. The waitress was friendly and brought over our drinks pretty quick. After a few half priced beers we were ready for the $ 0.25 wings, a Monday night special. Lots of varieties to choose from! Mild, BBQ, Hot, SUPER Hot, yum! We started off with 10 Hot and 10 Super-Hot. The Super-Hot had some decent kick to it but was not overwhelming. The plates came out with blue cheese dressing and celery & carrots too. The food was really decent for happy hour food at a bar. You really can’t beat it for the price! BTW, for table service, the tip is automatically added to your bill as a 20% surcharge. Overall it was a great experience at 1849, we like the crowd, liked the drinks, and loved the wings. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Tipped 18%. Left my credit card in the receipt-book. Next day. Received Visa Fraudulent Charges of $ 400 in shopping malls in NY. My transaction with tip successfully processed. So the book, and my forgotten CC were both picked up by staff, seeing as that the tip amount was accurate in my charge. No response to my phone calls. Not a fan of this place or staff.

I love coming to this bar for day drinking. I usually end up here after boozy brunch in the West Village… because more drinks are totally necessary after downing like 15 mimosas in a 2 hour period. But, really… thats what my friends and I do because we have issues. I mean, what else are we supposed to do at 4pm on a Saturday… go home and knit a scarf? Anyways.this place has a pretty good happy hour. Half price beers and well drinks til 8pm. I usually go for a beer(or 10) because I can’t really handle well liquor in my old age. I at least need a call drink for Christ’s sake! They have good wings for really cheap too. and you’ll probably order some after your 3rd drink, and possibly a second order after your 5th. Super cute seating area. Lots of couches and chairs arranged in a way that it’s easy for a big group to hang out and actually all be able to talk to each other. Like I said… great day drinking spot. I’m usually 3 sheets to the wind and in a cab by 8pm, so I can’t really speak for the night crowd. If it’s anything like the other bars in the area, I’m sure frat boys are busting out the door by 10pm. Lucky for me I’m sound asleep by then after a day of 1849 drinking. Oh yeah — the staff is cool too. My friend dropped her brand new ipod and they left it behind the bar for her instead of nabbing it and selling it on ebay.

It’s been many years since we’ve been back here. If you don’t already know, wing specials after work is the reason everyone comes here. Back in the days, wings used to be very cheap so it was more friendly to college kids. Nowadays, the wings are .55 apiece so most of the crowd is the older working crowd. If you can find space at and around the bar, you can quickly order from the bartender. The tables are not really«Reserved» but you’ll have to check in with the waitress to get a table. As stated, the wings are .55 apiece and you can order 10 at a time with any sauce. We opted to have the sauce on the side to keep the wings crispy and not overly salted. This is definitely the way to go! If you come after 8 pm, you’ll get the $ 7 pitcher specials for certain taps(Yuengling, Bud Light, PBR). Overall, if you’re craving cheap wings and cheap beer, this is definitely one of the places you need to hit up after work. Come with a group for even more fun!

I came here with a large group to watch some playoff football. We were lucky enough to catch the end of happy hour and were able to down some $ 3 drafts, what a great price! we also got a really great spot to watch the game. Our setup had a large couch, table and stools to seat our of 10 people. the place was definitely crowded for the patriots game beforehand, so i’d reco getting there early if you know there is something specific you wanna watch and would like a seat. lots of mentions of wings on Unilocal, these were saucey but also a bit heavy on the breading. i wouldnt mind them if i was paying the happy hour/monday special price but eh. we also ordered the round up. guys this is a DEAL for $ 20 you can literally feed 4 – 5 ppl all of your favorite deep fried appetizers– zuchinni sticks, mozzarella sticks, french fries, onion rings, jalapeño poppers, chicken fingers & chicken wings. lordy! our server warned us but we didn’t believe until it was put on the table. literally everyone had a bite of something. service was a bit slow, but the place was packed and our waitress was hustling to cover all the tables. would def come back for some more sports watching.

Great place for large groups watching football on Sunday. Tons of TVs and couches to watch. No reservations so come early to get a good seat. They have 25 cent wings and half priced drinks all day on Sunday’s. The only thing I would say is the wings are super breaded, so if you don’t like this there are other places to go, but the meat basically fell off the bone which was a plus in my opinion. The onion rings were super crispy loved them and the platter feeds a large group !! The service was kind of slow but it was a playoff game and our waitress was super nice. This will probably be one of my go to-s for cheap drinks on Sunday’s.

1849 was my go to wing spot for my husband and I however we went about 3 weeks ago with a group of 8 and I was denied entry because I had an army fatigue jacket! Really?! the bouncer said its Saturday and army fatigue isn’t allowed .smh whatever that means .you would think they’d support our troops. Anyways, lucky I had an extra jacket in the car. Being that I am a regular I know the kitchen closes at 12am, we had menus on our tables during our group discussion on what to order here comes the waitress taking away our menus, it was 11:30pm.!I stopped and asked what was she doing the kitchen doesn’t close till 12 she had the nerve to have an attitude stating sometimes it closes earlier if it’s a slow night .it clearly wasn’t! I ask who I assume is the kitchen manager and he states they’re still open. So she gives us back our menu rudely. Mind you they have a 20% service charge regardless so why would you not want to make money! We’re a group of 8 Idiot! Food was good but the wings did taste a bit different than usual. They need step up their service if they dare to charge 20% for shitty service. Don’t think I’ll be back.

1849 was a fun place. They have definitely cheapened their wings as they’re no longer of any real quality. Their nachos are no longer superior or even par. The taps still give out skunky beer. Bartenders don’t have character anymore. I stopped coming here after they denied my group a round of waters after 4 rounds of drinks. We thought it was illegal amd they challenged it and obviously won. Fuck it– i am still sour about that. I thought it was weird but what do I know? After tonight’s episode of bar rescues tip, confirmed water is acceptable and should be encouraged. 1⁄5 for food 4⁄5 for service 2⁄5 for drinks 2/for the new bartenders At least the bouncers are cool. Mario– if you still own this place– get your shit together again.

Cool little western themed bar that usually has some good happy hour specials and $.25 wings! Most of the time it’s packed so it’s hard to find a seat or place to stand at a table, so be prepared for that. Other than that be sure to check it out sometime.

Must say you must be careful. There was a game on but it did not look that busy. Plenty of open seats. Maybe not enough staff. But we sat for awhile. Tried to be patient until we thought maybe they just didn’t notice us yet. Approached a man at base of stairs and asked if we should have been seated rather than seating ourselves. He said we were fine. So we went back and waited again. No one came. We were hungry so I approached a lady who looked like one of the servers. She said its game time. And seated us again where we had been sitting. But this time we finally had menus. We should have left at this point. All off this should have warned me it’s not a good night to come. But we were hungry and stayed. We finally ordered loaded tots and wings. Food was good. Didn’t see our server to get more drinks. But oh well, at least we had food. We got our check. $ 41. It’s okay. We left 20% cash tip even though service wasn’t that great. But what really got us going was when we got home and realized there was a service fee for 2 people. 20% should not be forced. Especially for 15% quality service. We were NOT expecting service charge on 2 ppl. So now with forced $ 6.58 tip and $ 8 we left them in cash, our sub-par service got nearly $ 15 in tips on $ 35 in food! Not worth it. But I’m mad because I did not look to see if there was a service fee.

my girl brought me here because she thinks they are the best wings in the city. Thats a hell of a statement from a Unilocal Elite member so i went with very high expectations. The funny thing is we are both very particular about our food and i have very high standards on the simple foods that i love. Any spot that puts alot of breading loses points right off the bat with me and these wings had were breaded BUT they still were very very good. Not the best ive had Not even close but still very good soft, meat right off the bone, but this place doesnt fancy itself as an official Wing bar bc they only have your standard Mild, Hot, Very Hot, BBQ very though most people were ordering it overall this is a great place to come watch a game I had 260 plus inch TV in front of me watching Yanks and Mets can’t wait to come back during NFL season

This review went from a 3* review to a 2* review to a 4* review during my visit. I’m not a huge fan of sports bars, but how could I resist half price beers and $ 0.25 wings when I walked by. Actually, I was about to resist until another patron outside convinced us to come in. We ordered forgettable beers, but memorable on the bill at $ 3 each. We also ordered 10 wings with sauce on the side. 30 minutes later, our wings had not yet arrived. They clearly forgot about the order, and our waitress was super apologetic about it. Had I been starving, the delay would have been annoying. Luckily I ordered the wings just to try them. No biggie The wings were slightly better than expected. Still too bready for me, but good nonetheless. BBQ sauce was terrible but the hot sauce was the perfect temperature, spiciness-wise. They snuck a $ 0.50 charge on for the hot sauce which I thought was lame. Our awesome waitress came by with small shots to make up for the wait, which is unnecessary but a really nice gesture. Unfortunately she could not take a shot with us, but did hang out for a bit and shot the shit with us(pun intended). Total bill was $ 10 plus tax and a mandatory 20% gratuity, so based on the price and the service, four stars. At double the price it’d be a three star joint I wouldn’t be going back to.

Amazing chicken wings, fries, calamari, cheeseburger slider and most importantly their Original Sin beer! Cane with a group of friends on a Monday night just to watch the games, relax and chat! The comfort of this restaurant is very relaxing with a dark inside and candles lit on the tables. It brings a very chilling feeling being inside. Plus they have couch sofas for you to sit and eat/drink hence, be even more comfortable in my opinion. Depending if you prefer to be slouched down on the sofa or not. But regardless where you sit, it’s comfy! There are many TV screens and awesome sound system inside as well! Feels like your in a movie theater when your watching the games! Not only is it comfort inside but also the food and service is great! The waiter sits you down very quickly unless it’s over crowded at times! But regardless it’s worth the wait there to have your comfort food! Can’t go wrong with their wings deal, calamari, fries, sliders, and original sin beer! Must go to on Monday nights for their wings deal!!!
