2nd Time Around

The staff is totally unfriendly and they were unhelpful, rude and mean when I was in there. I used to frequent the store often but will no longer do so

They hold on to your money too long. Don’t think the stylists who decide what they will accept have the best style sense, and don’t think things consigned items are always available on the floor.

This was the first time that I tried to sell four pieces of my clothes at a consignment store. Never again I will continue giving them to charity as I did before. Specially not to 2ndtimearound. They never communicate with you after you drop off your clothes. It’s up to you to check the website and keep track of the date when you can pick up the check and/​or you cloths.
2 of the four pieces they accepted for consignment embarked on a most mysterious journey. I never saw them in the shop — I visit there frequently. When I ask after 2 months where these two pieces were they told me that they don’t have all the pieces out all the time. When the time came to pick them up — according to the website they had never sold — they could not find them. I called and went to the store four times over the course of a few days and every time they told me they would call me back as they could not find them. No one ever called me back. I was the one who had to go back to the store and I had to keep calling. Unbelievable! Bad customer service! Why did the manager not step in? One would assume that the manager would call me to explain the situation, right? Eventually they told me that these pieces had lost their tags, were listed some place else, and that they had sold for the most discounted price!!! One was a beautiful silk blouse from ‘antique batik’ the other one a sweater from Zadig and Voltaire. Mysterious indeed.

This is a smaller location of the 2^nd Time Arounds but it has a good selection and the staff is friendly.

The store is clean and bright. The clothes are all top designer labels in current styles. I don’t know what other reviewers are complaining about. I’ve never found the dressing rooms to be a «disaster» as one person wrote. There are three of them, and they’ve always been perfectly neat when I’ve used one. Have had good luck here – most recently a beautiful Ralph Lauren cashmere coat.

Great staff and you have to dig around for awhile to find some great steals. I got a bcbg dress for $ 20. Like with any second time around, make sure you always look at the color of the price tag and not just the price itself since there are always additional discounts taken if your tag is blue or orange or purple. Very friendly staff! The items can be a hit or miss. Snagged a nice pair of Giuseppe’s for under $ 200. Nice!

The one star is generous. There were 2 employees, the store was empty. No one bothered to say hi or asked if I needed any help. The store was a disaster, the dressing rooms were full of clothes as if no one had bothered to clean up in the past week. Save yourself the time, effort, and squeezing into a cramped changing room.

I should have read other people’s feedback on other locations. Its a common theme, the seller always gets screwed. They never tell you an exact price, only check the website. Going on that, a brand new pair of Stuart Weitzman black riding style boots should have sold for 150.00. Nope, sold them for 85 dollars. I made 38 dollars. Frankly, I would have gladly given it to a friend who coveted them. A brand new CYNTHIA Steffe chanel style jacket was on sale for 70. I must add my items sold within two days of being out, so they weren’t marked down because no one liked them. RIP OFF.
