Typical diner serving average diner food. Good lunch and dinner specials. A fine place to go when you are craving diner food. Service can be great depending on your server… I almost hate to say this but. the male waiters are great, extremely pleasant, as is the owner, the female waitresses however are horrible.(for some reason they just come off as uninterested and unpleasant and have managed to screw up my order on multiple occasions simply because they don’t care enough to listen to what you are ordering). They have also maintained an «A» rating for a while, a good thing.

Place use to be good and with great service. I order breakfast my order was suppose to be 9 dollars for pancakes and sausage with a large green tea. They charge me 19 dollars when i checked my bank statement. Long story short be careful.

An amazing spot to hit after a bender. Service is fast, prices are fair, and the coffee refills are on point. Love the window seats too. Perfect for people watching and making longing eye contact at dogs you wish you had. Definitely go next door if you have to poop though. Here’s a haiku to express my true feelings: Got a hangover? Soup of the day with coffee All hail triple decker

Fast, efficient, and tasty. While this place isn’t anything that will blow your tastebuds away, it is a good all around breakfast joint for a quick breakfast. Servers were all very attentive and quick to take your order or requests. Food was cooked on the spot when I ordered it and the bacon came out still sizzling on the plate. No complaints, and a solid 4 stars!

Perfect diner atmosphere accompanied by great corned beef hash, eggs, hash, and wheat toast. Great way to cure that hangover I was suffering from.

This is the neighborhood go-to place! The staff is friendly(majority of them) and the food is consistent. Realistically don’t go into this diner thinking of a 5 star meal but their food is pretty good. My go-to food is always the western omelette with cheddar cheese. The prices are affordable and I am okay with the décor, it is a diner so you are in and out. This place does fill up on weekends which is good, we have to keep them in business!

This place sucks big time! I was a regular customer here for a long time. I ordered in a sandwich for delivery and, as is always the case, they left out the coleslaw and pickle. I really was pissed off because they are so damn stupid to do this all the time. If you do not want to part with a tiny bit of slaw and a bitter pickle, do not print on the menu that it comes with every sandwich. I called them up and said I wanted my pickle and slaw delivered. They gave me such a hard time and were so nasty. I used language that would have made George Carlin blush. I am sick and tired of these foreign idiots screwing up orders and then being defensive about it. Never«sorry, sir» or «we’ll fix it for you.» Do not give this place your business.

Came in for brunch on sunday with my cousin and girlfriend and place was packed! I decided to give a try. It wast anything spectacular but still good enough. Service was okay. I had an omelette with mushrooms, onions and ham. Mushrooms didn’t seem to be fresh. On the side i got a blackberry pancakes and they were delicious! My girlfriend got banana pancakes and she liked it and my cousin got strawberry pancakes and she was satisfied too! Would recommend this place for pancakes definitely! Next time i might change my mind for 4 stars but for now 3 is enough!

I love this place! Food is good(especially poached eggs), delivery is very fast. I love tables next to the big windows(plus they always have flowers) Service is a bit inattentive, but what do you want from diner?! Overall, it’s my to-go breakfast spot!

We used to be regulars till I got tired of eating the veggie burger every single time(not too many options for vegetarians, you see!). The service is always very good — the waitresses are super friendly without getting in your hair. We’ve never had to wait too long to be served, neither are we rushed to leave even when it’s close to closing time. One extra star just for the service! The place is cute too, in a somewhat kitschy way. The food is good, portions are, well, American. All in all, a nice neighborhood diner to go to.

Was walking by and the LOXANDONIONOMELETTEBREAKFASTSPECIAL(under $ 10) on their signboard caught my eye. I love lox on bagel but can sometimes do without the bagel(weird, I know, but I have no explanation for it) so figured I’d give it a try. The omelette was pretty good and I can tell they use FRESHSALMON because I didn’t have to add as much salt and hot sauce(I love strong flavors). The breakfast special came with toast and home fries, which is standard, but what I was especially impressed by was their COMPLIMENTARYORANGEJUICE. While it came in a small glass(down in three gulps), it’s tiny, friendly gestures like this that show you’ll get a familiar experience at every sitting; and that they’re happy to have your business, and you their food. 3 Decker Restaurant has a floor-to-ceiling glass sitting area(any one know the architectural term for this?) along the the southeast corner of 2nd Ave. and 91st St, which makes for fun people-watching. I love diners that have this, which isn’t meant to make this feature typical and any less special at this diner, but the outdoor view, much like every neighborhood and corner in NYC, has its own story to tell. Funny aside: They told me they already spread butter in between the toast but I asked for more butter anyways, per usual, because extra butter(and salt) are the vices that make a delicious brunch. Note to self for next time: CORNBEEFHASHBROWNS with two eggs.

I wanted a change from the higher prices dinners in the neighborhood so we thought we’d try 3 Decker. It was just OK. I had a cheeseburger deluxe with fries. It was good but not very juicy. Also it didn’t come with some raw onion, this perplexed me. Hubby had eggs and he seemed happy enough. The service though was not good. Our waiter seemed to be busy with other tables in another side of the restaurant and our food was ready at the window(we could see it), and it sat there for too long until he brought it. I would have liked my food to be brought when it came out hot. Also he didn’t check back with us so I wasn’t able to ask for the missing raw onion. All in all this was a cheaper priced dinner and I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Don’t order any of the Greek traditional food here. I don’t understand how Greek own most of the diners in this city and yet they can’t even perfect their own food. I digress. The top of the pastitio was covered in tomato sauce. Any greek knows this is a crime. The spanakopita was a big soggy piece or spinach held together by burnt wet philo. This was devastating. The feta cheese that I was craving tasted bad and was rubbery. If you want greek food go to Queens. I’m so disappointed in this city right now…

I only come here for breakfast. For less than $ 5 you get eggs, potatoes, toast, coffee and juice. It’s a diner guys so don’t expect any spectacular service or splendid flavorings of any sort. Even on weekends I can easily snag a table or better yet a booth. I don’t know what it is about the coffee(maybe it’s because you get a whole meal plus coffee for the price of a large Starbucks) but it’s a great cup o’ joe.

Stopped by here because a different restaurant we were planning on going to for brunch had a very long line. Food was average. What was disappointing was that their menu said that they would have berry waffles /pancakes /french toast, but they did not have any berries, in fact the only fruit that they did have was bananas. The wait staff was very inpatient and not considerate to our orders. I had to flag down the staff multiple times just to get a refill on my coffee. Definitely not coming back here.
