Each direction on this stop offers a no-​frills station with a MetroCard machine and steep steps that are not handicap accessible. Nothing to look at here, but then again, it’s not for sightseeing.
Just hurry up the stairs and don’t dawdle at the top or stop to check your phone. This is New York. There are probably people behind you!

An ok stop, it’ll be better when you can catch the T Train from here.

The station is a bit on the small side but it’s not horrible. It’s usually not super crowded but you probably won’t get a seat when the L train arrives to go into Brooklyn. Nothing special or spectacular about it, though you sometimes get a little bit of cell reception inside.
