I liked this place and was glad to find it in the area, which is otherwise pretty pricey. This place was more affordable and service was pleasant. The décor is modern and clean, a little soulless perhaps. Good all day breakfast/brunch menu, although I would have to rate it good, not great. I had the three egg omelette — it was fine, it didn’t quite hit the spot for me compared to some other places I’ve been to, but it was certainly good enough. Good affordable option in Central Pk area. Opposite park lane hotel(back/58th st entrance/exit).

WARNING– map on Unilocal or maps shows it next to park lane hotel, it is actually right across the street. FOOD was great & the latte was Delish. Hot chocolate chip pancakes and the multigrain breakfast sandwich. Quick affordable bite.

First I’ll start by saying the service was amazing! I don’t think we ever got the guy’s name that waited on us but he was great! I ordered the ricotta lemon pancakes and my husband ordered the bourbon French toast. ALLGOOD!!! The food was amazing!!! My pancakes were very hot and stayed that way the whole time I ate. The taste of the lemon sauce was phenomenal !!! The French toast was so good and flavorful!!! The bacon… All I can say is yesssssss!!! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves to eat!

We walked in at 10:30 and weren’t greeted until we stood around and looked at the baristas in front. Then, someone came and just said its a 20 minute wait. No «hello» or «have you been helped?» Either way, we told them it’s fine, we’ll wait. A family of 4 walk in and this one one of the baristas went up to them to apologize and say that the wait was about 20 minutes. They get greeted and an apology. Wow. Where was our greeting and apology? 20 mins passed and one of the waiters tell us we can look at a menu cause a party just left. Another family of 4 come in and one of them politely asked if we were waiting for a table. I said yes. Then, another waiter seriously seats them at the table we were to be seated at. The original waiter say and told him a few words, I assume that we were supposed to be seated first as that table was supposed to be given to us. I didn’t mind only because the space was better for them as they had a stroller. But, for the other waiter to just seat people before us without saying anything or waiting until another table for is was ready and having them wait another 2 – 3 minutes was a bad move on his end. The guy came to take our order. This place has no sense of welcoming or friendliness. Which was a first for me as a sit down in New York. The lady from the other party of 4 came to our table to apologize and said she even told the waiter that our party was 3 were supposed to be first. I appreciated her concern and apology. Once our food came, the waiters were never to be seen again. We were never checked up on and we had to hunt one waiter down so we could get the check. The food was very good, but the service is horribly ridiculous. I would be happy to give a 4 – 5 star review but the service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left is beyond unacceptable.

Came by for breakfast and had a very pleasant experience! The place is relatively small but the food did not disappoint. The bourbon french toast was great, and was a good foil to the savory salmon scrambled eggs and potatoes(salmon flavor was strong). The OJ wasn’t anything special but the service was friendly and when you check-in with Unilocal they’ll take 15% off your bill! woot!

Came here after seeing a picture of the french toast and was disappointed when they weren’t serving it that morning. Ordered the lemon pancake which was not bad. The sri lankan tea was delightful and I wished I could of took some with me home. Our server seemed to be not attentive as we had to wait a long time to order food and I had to ask him three times for water. The food was good, however I wished the service was better.

Very good for breakfast. I tried this café many times. I tried the Greek yogurt with strawberry and banana. Also, I tried the egg sandwich with avocado. I tried the two eggs with potatoes and toast. I liked the scrambled egg with salmon.

The food was great, pricing is appropiate(maybe a bit expensive). Service was a bit slow. But overall it is a great little place to stop for breakfast.

I’ve been to a. café a couple times and have had excellent experiences. I would highly recommend the salmon burger and the a.burger. Super delicious! The service from our waiter Marco was top notch — very attentive, extremely nice and welcoming. Also, do yourself a favor and get a cappuccino made expertly by Melissa or Iliana; you won’t be disappointed.

The breakfast was amazing! My husband got the french toast which was to die for. Also, we both ordered the cappuccino and added the«Tahitian Vanilla». You haven’t LIVED until you have tried it. I ended up ordering two while I was there. We found it the last day we were staying in NYC and had I found it sooner we would have gone everyday for breakfast. Prices are moderate, not crazy expensive. Worth the stop!

Wonderful breakfast stop, we were quite lucky to have found it. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. The quality of the meal was like fine dinner dining but for breakfast. Highly recommend the ricotta pancakes.

Upon arriving to a. café with my family I realized that it wasn’t meant for kids. We were a group of 5 adults and two children. The tables were very small, so we politely asked a server if he could help us move a table to accommodate our group size. The server refused us this service and we simply just left. The location is in an expensive area of Manhattan by the Plaza Hotel, but the restaurant was quite affordable. I think it’s safe to say that the server and the host were being racist. Everyone who was being served was white except for my family.

Worse experience we’ve had in a long time. Very rude servers, food was mediocre at best. We had a party of 5 and they refused to accommodate moving a single table to get us that 5th chair we needed even though they had 3 empty tables. One of our parties had to sit uncomfortably.

They have the most amazing lemon ricotta pancakes I have ever had here! They also serve wonderful salads and sandwiches, along with the best chai lattes, fresh squeezed orange juice and pastries from Balthazar.

Best cappuccinos I’ve ever had and the egg sandwich is phenom. Staff remembers your name and your order without even having to tell them. Their capps are a prerequisite for my day. Love this place! Highly recommend.
