Owner contacted me and made amends by acknowledging mishap and resolving! I will surely recommend to everyone! Because I simply love this place and location. Thank you

This was the company’s go to spot for happy hour when I worked by Broadway and bleecker few years ago. The service was good, really good app and drink prices for happy hour! Gets busy quickly.

We had our holiday party at Agozar back in December and could not have had a more enjoyable experience. Planning was easy, efficient and very reasonable in terms of price. Food was plentiful and the drinks were constantly being filled. We added paella and it was so delicious. So fresh and felt«home cooked.» They also surprised us with dessert! We had a blast.

Perfect happy hour spot. My coworkers and I find ourselves here often without thinking twice. 2 for 1 drinks and tasty apps. Can’t go wrong. The coconut mojito is my drink of choice!

Everything I have eaten here has been wonderful. Steak, chicken, plantains, even pork belly(which I was previously afraid of). My favorite dish is the Pollo al Mojo Cubano– which you can get for an amazing deal at lunchtime! The sauce is absolutely incredible. They also have a great Cinco de Mayo celebration that is great, playing loud dance music and offering $ 2 tequila shots.

Review for happy hour — good prices, decent food sizes, strong drinks. In my opinion, a good win for happy hour! We definitely took advantage of their $ 3 Taco Tuesdays — chicken and carnitas/pork tacos are bomb. Friendly fast service in a clean restaurant. Wish there was slightly more room in the dining area, but I’d come back with a small group for happy hour again!

DAN is the MAN here. Such a great guy; he served a friend and myself here for dinner& drinks. All of his recommendations were spot on. Will be back just for that. ASK for DAN. Very respectful, kind, and productive service here. Very rare in the area so a total breath of fresh air.

Came here for a birthday dinner with friends. I stuck with the apps for more variety. They were all really good and cooked well. My friend got the salmon which was literally amazing. If I go back I will definitely order that! The jalapeño margarita is by far the best thing here. You must get it if you go! It’s definitely on the spicy side so if you don’t like spicy stay away! The atmosphere here is also super chill and cozy. Highly recommend

I am absolutely in love with this place!!! I’m only giving it 4 starts because I’ve only been there once but I know I’ll be frequenting this place. If you’re looking for the fancy frills, bells and whistles, hoity toity, bartenders called mixologist… You get the picture, kinda place, then don’t come here! If you want efficient service, friendly staff, great prices, best happy hour deals, good mixed drinks(the sangria is amazing), good food, wicked music played by an amazing dj on the weekend and lastly that place where the staff might know your name on first visit; then you MUST come here!!! PS: you might feel so good that you’ll end up begging to tip the busser but he’ll refuse… It happened to me. Just a warning, don’t get overly zealous and scare the busser, just leave it in the tip ;). Cheers!

I’ve been here in the past for happy hour, as well as a Unilocal elite event. I most recently went for dinner on a Friday evening. Check in and get a free sangria! Ambience: Latin beats and décor. Bar area is long and narrow with seats in the back for bigger groups. Crowd was mostly in their mid 20−30s. Food: We had the guac with chips and flautas for appetizers. We shared the bistec en palomilla. The platain chips, guac and black bean hummus were all good but the portion of the guac is soo tiny. I know avocados are expensive, but come on, at least a little more! The flautas were quite yummy. The steak was super flavorful; I recommend. Price: Decent for the area. Service: We had to hunt down the hostess. With that said, once seated, our waiter was nice. If in the area and craving Cuban, give it a try!

I’ve experienced so much better that I almost forgot I came to Agozar to «enjoy» myself, and was mildly disappointed after years of having wanted to try the place. A friend and I dropped by for a light dinner last week. Fortunately, we arrived before 7 p.m. and were able to take advantage of their half priced happy hour drinks, which would not have been worth their full prices. To eat we shared orders of the plantain chips with black bean dip and guacamole, grilled shrimp, and fried cassava. The plantain chips may as well have been dumped in the basket from a 99 cent bag from a local bodega and while the black bean dip was tasty, the guacamole was atrocious– so much so that we couldn’t eat it. The shrimp was good, but not worth $ 9, and the same could be said for the fried cassava. I decided to check in on Unilocal to sample a free sangria and after my first sip, realized I shouldn’t have. It was among the worst I have had.

Came here for a friend’s birthday dinner last weekend. They were able to seat our group of 12 with ease which was great! I ordered the fiesta cubana which is a tapas platter that includes samples of the chorizo, arepas, empanadas, masters, and rellenitos which were all delicious. This was totally a cuban fiesta in my mouth! This $ 15 platter is totally worth it, you get to try a little bit of everything. I ordered the sangrito mojito which is a sangria mojito … what can I say I was intrigued. It tasted good and was very light but just felt a little watered down. Their sangria on its own was very good.

I walked into this place on a Sunday during brunch. I had one of the tapas off of the menu(camarones) and around 6 white sangria a. The sangrias were delicious. The camarones were sweet and sour which was pretty cool. They have a choice between this or garlic. I got there right when happy hour started so the drinks were 2 for 1. The bartender was very sweet and honest. I would definitely come back to have brunch and try that out. Cool spot on the Bowery.

Not the best for vegetarians wanting to eat healthy, but they do make an effort to present vegetarian options when Cuban food isn’t the most veg friendly. The waitress was really nice about making sure I was happy with the vegetarian options available. The arepas and croquetas de hongas were also really tasty, and I would recommend those for vegetarians. The sangria is amazing and the perfect amount of sweetness. Definitely get this if you want a night out with friends. You can always go and sit at the bar if you don’t want to get a full meal.

I came here for lunch and had the Lechon lunch special Mariquitas Sangria. The lady who served us was super nice and accommodating, the food was good– not fantastic but good for lunch, and the 2 of us could share with enough for both. Super cheap, worked out to 25 $ without tip.

As good as it gets for summer happy hours! And the outdoors seating is a great plus. I happen to work nearby and love coming here for any of their happy hour drinks included the house special«sangrita» *(sangria margarita). *Not to be confused with sangrita(thick tomato based drink to pair with Tequila, traditional in Mexico). The appetizers are great, and there are enough vegetarian options. I love the plantain chips to dip in guac or frijoles refritos(refired beans). I like the fact that the owner is around most of the time taking care of business. And they get a lot of business! But I don’t remember ever waiting in line here. A bit Mexicanized for a Cuban place but hey, we’re taking over everything anyway(#AskTrump). The large room in the back could use some noise reduction, it gets super loud in there just from people’s chatter.

I came here for an event and had sangria and a variety of appetizers and finger foods and 1. Really loved the ambiance and the fun, festive atmosphere and 2. Really liked the wait staff who was really nice and caring They have nice outdoor seating and cool lights and it would definitely be a fun place to get some drinks and have a fun(though probably not really nice or fancy) meal. Would love to come back and try out the place for a real meal, but for fun drinks and appetizers it was great!

Solid brunch spot Option for 2hr bottomless mimosa, bloody, or SANGRIA! The spot was not too busy on a Saturday morning, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a reservation. All the staff were very friendly. We got(in order of favorites): 1. Shredded beef hash with egg(crispy and über flavorful!) 2. Eggs Benedict(Spanish ham and Cuban bread) 3. Chorizo scramble(ask for cheese!) 4. Breakfast burrito This is a great spot to start your Saturday!
