I am a healthy, energetic 82 year old woman still working and was recently diagnosed with a fast growing breast cancer. When I consulted doctors and a network of people who work with cancer, the person by far most recommendedwas Dr. Goldfarb. I went to my first appointment with a group of family members and Dr. Goldfarb answered all questions thoroughly and in understandably; she took 90 minutes with us. She did not«tell me what to do» but offered options and recommendations making sure all the time that my family and I understood what she was saying. She is a skilled surgeon, but, most important to me, a caring human being: when I developed a large sty, she found me an optometrist and called me at home at 6:00pm to see what he said! And she has a delicious sense of humor. Mary and Lila, the office staff, are warm, knowledgeable, and answer questions promptly. Cancer can be scary, mysterious, and stressful, Dr. Goldfarb demystifies it and puts it in perspective with information, personal support, and humor.

I recently had an abnormal mammogram finding. With a strong family history of breast cancer, I knew that I had to attend to it promptly. I had been a patient of Dr. Goldfarb for years, anticipating just this moment. I knew that no matter what the pathology, I could trust that she would take care of it. And of course she did. Two weeks later Dr. Goldfarb performed a breast biopsy. The surgery was artfully done. As Dr. G says, «Neatness matters.» My immense confidence in her helped me to approach what could have been a scary day without much anxiety. In addition to her great clinical skill, Dr. Goldfarb has a wonderful sense of humor. Thank you Alisan Goldfarb!

Dr. Goldfarb is a medical gem. She is an old school MD, the whole package: fantastic bedside manner, excellent clinical accumen, and with a conservative approach(which is good for a surgeon!). She is the real deal and they don’t make ‘em like her anymore — I know because I’m a doctor! I came to Dr. Goldfarb due to complications from breastfeeding. If you need to see a breast surgeon due to similar problems(breastfeeding issues), she is the go-to breast surgeon. She understands breastfeeding issues. And despite her specialty in oncology, benign breast issues are not beneath her. God forbid that you would need to see Dr. Goldfarb but if you do need to see a breast surgeon, she is the one to go to! Especially for issues with breastfeeding. Edit: I forgot to mention how great the staff is too. Lila(Dr. Goldfarb’s receptionist) is very sweet and friendly. Mary is also super nice. ALl in all, the practice is a winner!
