Wow! I am so glad we found this gem! We are both vegetarians and cold not believe all of the options for us! Highly recommended!

Overpriced and underwhelming equals two stars. But hey what the hell do I know I’m just on Unilocal haha. Watch the South Park episode on Unilocal if you haven’t seen it, it’s amazing. But yea stay away from this joint if you like value and delicious food.

Awesome place! The wait staff is excellent! Food is delicious from the salad to main course and prices are very reasonable. Sat outside but the inside is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Service is good. Came here for be sushi pizza as advertised by insider foods. HIGHLY dissapointed. The toppings were solid but I did not like how the crust was soggy. I guess since there’s so many toppings on it, that was the cause but I wish they used a different type of subsitute for the crust, maybe fried wonton skins would’ve worked better.

Amazing sushi pizza! Never tried anything like it. They also have a nice outside patio with a view of the Empire State Building. Great service!

I don’t understand how this place gets overall 4 stars. Sushi was just mediocre. I ordered yellowtail jalapeño roll for lunch special, and they used pickle jalapeño instead of the fresh one. I was very disappointed. My salad was wilted and the miso soup was bland. I shoulda know better when the restaurant has a word ‘fusion’ in it. ;-(

I’m going to keep the one short and simple. The sushi dishes are way too expensive for the small amount of food you get on a plate. I pay 2.50 $ for bigger rolls in Brooklyn. Also, beef pad Thai was so spicy it took all the taste out of my mouth. My friend got super sick and immediately started throwing up when she was here. Definitely not somewhere id come again.

I was super excited to try this spot out. There are tables along the walls of the restaurant and an enormous table and bench in the middle of the restaurant along with more seating outside. I wasn’t greeted by the server whose back was towards the front entrance. I looked through their lunch specials on their take-out menu and got the Beef Chow Fun with Miso Soup. I waited a bit for my take-out and when the lady handed me my bag… it felt so light compare to other take-out spots. I walked back to my office and opened the bag. Woah completely disappointed of my Beef Chow Fun that was cramped into a small take-out container… WTF for $ 9.80 I looked at my belly sorry you aren’t getting full today. The vegetables were like fillers for the spaces around the smallest portion of chow fun which I barely ate any and the beef was so dried… the color was ugly! The Miso Soup watered down and they added some seaweed and cubes of tofu. I am so unsatisfied with my lunch. Don’t even bother wasting your money here! Go to Chef Yu( ) check out my review there. Better quality meat and portion size than Alpha sorry you are like a negative 10.

The restaurant was busy, stream of people in and out. We were a group of three seated in the corner. there were two waitresses, one of which also doubled as the cocktail maker. She was so busy. Our food came out at different times. The food was good — but the service not so good. And while i applaud the waitress for her efforts — she was definitely overworked. and needed help. *make sure you check in on Unilocal — you get the free Endamame bowl.

Long overdue review of Alpha. I’ve been going to Alpha for years(the old location in Chelsea) with friends and always left satisfied and stuffed. Henry takes great care of every patron and makes you feel like family when you are there. Not something you see or experience in most of the restaurants in Manhattan. The food is delicious — fusion is a great way to describe the menu as all Chinese and Japanese dishes are can’t miss. Recently I reached out to Henry to provide a lunch order for 40 people for the launch of a new project at work. He was happy to accommodate and sent over a delicious spread with little notice — about an hour and a half later, the huge amount of food arrived. Everyone was ecstatic and ate everything — glowing reviews all around. I was happy to tell them to head to Alpha and check out the spot in person. I can’t say enough about Henry, the staff at Alpha, and the food.

We’ve walked by here a number of times, but this is the first time my girlfriend and I dined in. It was for her birthday, and she was given a complimentary entrée. I ordered the three roll lunch special, which at $ 14.50 was a great value since it came with BOTH a soup and salad. The rolls were six pieces each but of a decent size. I picked white tuna jalapeño, crunchy spicy tuna, and spicy yellowtail. All good choices! We also had two desserts(one black and white chocolate mousse and one strawberry cheesecake) that were quite tasty. We were happy with our experience and intend to return in the future.

Great food, friendly staff. Based on previous East Coast experiences, I suspected it was foolish to order Sushi in NY with my standard set high from San Francisco. Alpha disproved this theory. Foolish to make assumptions based on my experiences in FL! Enjoyed a spicy roll, some seaweed salad, and a bowl of pineapple rice that was good but intensely spicy. I would suggest increasing the pineapple content. Otherwise it was excellent. AWESOME happy hour deals from 4 – 7. I was amazed at how cheap the sake was.

I went to Alpha Fusion with my friend and ordered the Chow Fun noodles and it was so good. The service was funny and kind. The food came out so quickly! I would definitely come back. The food was not greasy, it was fresh. If you want good food and good service, come to Alpha Fusion!

Excellent! An oasis in midtown, freshly cooked food, inexpensive but not a chain. We both had the lunch special, lots of tasty food. Salads were assorted greens, dessert was fried green tea ice cream! Really nice choice in an area with a dearth of honest lunch spots.

Indian roti with curry — I guess only Malaysian restaurants make Indian roti the way I like; the Indian roti from here was similar to the frozen rotis — an extremely oily, thick, small circle. Vegetable dumplings– this was my favorite dish here. I didn’t use the sauce that accompanied this dish because I never find it necessary. The dumplings were very flavorful and packed with mixed vegetables! They also had shredded papaya and sliced grape tomatoes on the side. Vegetable spring rolls — these are so tiny. I always felt like this was a ripe off, especially since the stuffing is basically cabbage and red carrot. It was crispy and oily and not something I would recommend unless you like these types of spring rolls. Tofu Coconut curry soup — basically a smaller version of the entrée version without rice. I wish I had rice with this dish. The curry was runny and they weren’t cheap on the veggie and tofu so that’s a plus!

Real Time Lunch Review! Can’t lie… the mixed reviews and varying pics have kept me from ordering here. Though I was able to combine two coupon deals for delivery… so I took the leap. Order confirmed at 3:30pm…and it’s a pretty big hike to my office. Arrived at 4pm! Not likely to be a good thing, since they’re 20 blocks from my office… I ordered during rush hour traffic… and I ordered two specialty rolls… one of which is fried… …let us see… Hot soup and sushi in the same bag… no bueno. One greasy(to the touch) take out container… ew. Ordered up: Coconut Curry Soup w/Shrimp — I take that back. Tepid soup, at best(most places along this line of cuisine serve such hot soup, you have to let it sit for half an hour to cool down…). Had to reheat… taste of broth was acceptable… but the vegetables were all raw… obviously thrown in right before serving… quite the displeasing dichotomy… K.C. Roll(Deep fried eel, egg, cheese, avocado, crab, salmon, and white fish, topped with crunch and tobiko) — description could use a hyphen after the words«deep fried», as I thought just the eel was done this way. Still, really solid roll which actually stood up to delivery. Attractive, hearty thing… J B Roll(Crunchy spicy tuna topping with seared filet mignon with eel sauce) — cute surf & turf american sushi. Fun roll. Steak cooked to a nice, tender medium. No wow factor, but nice. Sea Urchin — fine. Not the best or creamiest. Didn’t have a briney taste. Looked old. Something crunchy was in it… King Crab — didn’t have that king crab, briney, extra delicious taste. Really think this was just a good pull from another type(maybe dungeness…)…or maybe it’s just not the freshest… Salmon Roe — at a point where it started to dry out. No major pop in the mouth. Tasted off… Spicy Snow Crab — good once the spice starts to build. Still, not the best I’ve had. For 35% off… it’ll do. Would never pay full price for this level of sushi(even the specialty rolls I liked tasted similar options I could get at Food Emporium… which makes sense since it seems like they offer up pre-made rolls…), and highly unlikely to order again.
