Stopped in here because it was close to our hotel and we were hungry and craving some pizza. My husband and I both ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizza and it was so so good. It had a slight crunch to it and was very flavorful. If you need something quick– this is your place. They had all sorts of stuff from udon noodles to tacos. Recommend!

Super cheap place to eat. You can choose from pizza to mexican food to sandwiches & wraps to Japanese noodles in the back! The place is not super clean but its cheap. I went with my friend after walking blocks in a cold winter day And oh! did we have their mexican burritos and quesadillas… and we loved them!!! The lentils soup was not great. Overall, if you are super hungry and cold near 45th street. Stop by!

My co worker ordered me a Vegetable ramen from here today, as he showed me all food items specify that they have egg in them except the vegetable ramen. When my food came I was a little flustered to have found a crap ton of egg in this, I tried eating around it but considering I haven’t ate meat and eggs or dairy in four years it was very difficult. I decided to call back and they yelled at me !! lol Saying«all ramen comes with egg, you have to specify!!» I would have gladly specified if I would have known egg was even cooked in it. They did bring me a new one. And now that Im eating it, it kinda taste like chicken broth and I had asked when ordering my new ramen the type of broth she told me no animal broth. I called back and the lady said«cook is busy I can’t ask»…So now I’ve banned this place. Soup each time was bland anyway. You want a good ramen in the same area try the Ramen from Alice’s on 47th. they make it pan fried too YUM! P. S. Ambrosia try not to be so mean with your costumers. ;) UPDATE: Found a lovely hair in my soup too. this place is a joke.

The salads are decent and fairly priced but I mainly go for the Korean soups in the back. The Bimbibap is also really good as it comes out in a sizzling hot stone bowl. The prices recently went up which is understandable but if it goes up again, it might not be worth it.

I am very happy this place exists. I come here for lunch a lot. Their beef udon is one of my favs. It may not be a traditional udon, but it fills me up with yummy greatness. I order it like this, «Beef udon, please. Everything. Spicy.» And then I am happy! Also, the salads are good because, like many salad bars, you can customize it. Also, the Korean food in the back is great. I am eating the beef ramen right now and look forward to returning for more. As some of the other reviews mention, the prices are a bit high — especially for my salads. But, midtown is like that. Yay! I’m a fan!

Worse customer service ever! I’m working around this place and I have been many times buying food and drink there. Really hard to communicate with them and also all workers are rude especially deli who prepare the foods. Recently I went there and I ordered tuna sandwich I had paid about 5 times $ 5.50 and that time they wanted to charger me $ 6.25 and I asked did you raise the price and rude deli guy said no this is the price we charger and I spoke to poor cashier she didn’t no what to do, and she asked a few people. They didn’t solve this situation. I want you to know guys this is not a good customer service not about the money people doesn’t like to pay different prices everyday. This is ridiculous. You gotta learn how to serve and try to be polite with customers. Now this place lose not only one customer more than 10 people with me nobody wanna go this place from my work. You are not the only one place in this area. There are so many places in this area nice and clean and also they don’t argue with customer. They appreciate their customer.

Great little Korean lunch joint in the back. Ambiance is cafeteria like. But the kimchi jigae is soooo good.

Disclaimer: I’ve only had Korean food here. Probably one of the better Korean spots this side of 42nd(north). Problem here is, it’s not saying much. The food is decent but overpriced. Yes, they provide several banchan dishes but as a deli, that does not justify sit down restaurant prices. Speaking of the banchans, it’s really only convenient for customers that eat in their dining area. Think about it. I get lunch here and come back to work to have a spread much like a traditional Korean family, across my entire desk. Not a good look. Korean food already has a strong smell which engulfs the entire office.

Owner was incredibly rude to us, both at the register and once we made our purchases and sat in the dining area. I was appalled that he demanded that I buy more than a soda and pack of gum after my friends had made several purchases. He then, without polite request or warning, loudly berated us for eating anything not purchased in his store because ‘his rent costs $ 60,000.’ Keep treating paying customers like that, and you really won’t be able to afford your rent. Bad form, sir.

The only thing rising is their prices… «Best Korean food in the city!» The sign outside Ambrosia is a little suspicious and if you look at it at face value, it looks like your average Midtown deli. However, if you venture back, you’ll discover a whole Korean restaurant, complete with your favorite soups and rice dishes. I’ve been a few times and sampled their bimbibap and chicken ramen. For the area, it’s a pretty nice selection, but the prices keep getting raised. I’ve only been three times, but it’s already gone up an average of $ 1.50 per entrée. My coworker that originally introduced it mentioned most dishes were under $ 10 at one point. I think the bimbibap is the best choice and value. It’s still served in a hot stone bowl which wouldn’t be expected from a deli-like setting. The portion is more than filling and the accompanying banchan makes for a complete meal. It’s nothing to write home about, strictly a decent, hearty Korean lunch option in the 40’s.

Solid café with many options for lunch. This was my first visit and I went with a chicken burrito. The chicken was great, the toppings were plenty, and it was finished off on the grill! There are many options from different cuisines: Asian, Mexican and classic salads/sandwiches. I’ll need to come back to try some other dishes out!

One of my favorite places for a yummy breakfast sandwich. Affordable and delicious. Nice selection toppings for your omelettes and made fresh to order.

I usually order wraps for my work team during meetings for delivery. Wraps are usually standard if they don’t get your order wrong. This past delivery blew me completely. They usually wait in the lobby of my office building for me to pick up my food, standard. This time, I come down to a middle aged-ish Asian woman that is not the usual happy guy that delivers food here. She was talking to the security throwing a hissy fit about something when I went to grab my order. She VERY rudely yelled, «YOUNEEDTOSIGNTHISPAPERNOW!». I kindly asked her for a pen to be told, «YOUNEEDTOGET A PENANDSIGN!». I looked the security guard and asked for a pen while sharing a confused look. After I signed the receipt, she put my food on the GROUND instead of handing it to me and snatched the paper. I just shook my head and walked back into the building. I get it, people in NYC can be pretty damn rude but whatever. I thought that nightmare of a person was gone when she decided to CALLME right after she left to yell at me for having to wait in the lobby to pick up the food. Ummmm lady, that’s building security policy and has never been an issue for the 4746273 other times I have had delivery from this place. I kindly hung up on her and needless to say, they’ve lost a lot of customers(my company). The required 1 star is for the subpar food.

Good deal, I think $ 12 for dolsot(hot stone) bulgogi bibimbap! It came out super hot and sizzling, and was very filling indeed! They give you some side dishes as well. This is all the way in the back of the deli btw, and they were super busy yet quick during the lunch rush! It’s cafeteria style so you order, grab it to eat and then return the dishes back to them.

Good Korean food in the middle of midtown? YES! It might not be the best, but it is definitely very authentic and comforting. The kimchi chigae, the bibimbap, the tofu stew, all were so comforting on a cold winter day. They even include mini ban chan with meal. Very reasonable prices. They also have udon on premise and it’s actually a good deal. They load lots of ingredients for only $ 7. My go to is Chicken udon with everything except carrots =P. Salads were okay — you can get the same quality elsewhere. I never tried the Mexican station or the pizza station, but if I am ever craving, I will definitely be back again.

Your typical New York city deli with a surprise in the back. They have Korean food that was pretty good(and this is coming from a Korean) and a good selection of pizzas, sandwiches and salads to choose from. The last time I went, I ordered the Yu Gay Jjang which is a spicy beef stew. I was surprised how good it was for a restaurant that doesn’t focus on korean food. If I’m ever craving korean food during ym lunch break, this will be my go to spot

Best Korean food in NYC? I don’t think so. Best in Midtown and within a stone’s throw of my work? They might be right. The deli is typical of the korean delis with a vast variety of hot foods and different cuisines in steam trays. The real gem to me is the korean food kitchen in the back. I actually got the dolsot bibimbap in a sizzling stone bowl with soup, ban chan and kim chi for about $ 12. The veggies were good, and the rice and meat was topped with a raw egg.

Ambrosia deli has a outdoor sign that boasts«best Korean food in town». I incredulously raised my brow. This is like Buddy the Elf discovering the World’s Best Coffee. I’m not buying it. There are a handful of Korean dishes available along with some Japanese dishes(about $ 9-$ 14). I’ve tried the galbi tang(short rib soup), gamjah tang(potato soup) and budae jigae(spam/sausage stew). I was pleasantly surprised. Koreans are cooking in the back and the food is delicious. Each soup/stew is accompanied with rice; the banchan sides are usually bean sprouts, kimchi and sometimes black beans or watercress. Don’t expect ambiance. It’s a deli with communal seating and also offers Mexican, Pizza, sandwiches, etc. I only go for lunch. Best Korean food in town? No way. When it’s cold outside I might agree with the sign. It sure beats going to K-town. IFHTP3+

they have great authentic Korean food. I know since i took two of my korean friends and they have said the food is great. The portions are very generous, i eat a lot and i’m full when done with the meals here. Nothing fancy and prices are really cheap for the area. The place is one of those mufti food deli-buffet places that are all over the city, everything looks so fresh and there is plenty of seating available. All kinds of people go here, so you could also go and not feel weird about ordering food. The menu is not large but the items there are made with great flavor.
