Breakfast is standard deli options(egg sandwiches, home fries, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.). Fast and reasonable prices. It’s a regular breakfast stop. The coffee is good too.

The food is just OK but it is definitely not cheap and is very overpriced. What is really bad here is the customer service. These people are crazy. They always like to tell you do you really want this it’s really expensive as if you are not going to pay for it. I mean I understand if I make a fit after I hear the bill but if I I’m ordering something and I’m not making a big deal out of it you should be happy that I’m spending a lot of money. These people are so cheap. They even had the nerve to tell me that the meat I was using was very expensive because I asked to have turkey bacon and turkey sausage and egg whites. I highly suggest that you do not go to this place the fact that the reviews of this deli are solo speak for itself. You can literally walk over by the McDonalds and go to aroma the food there taste amazing and the prices are a lot better and they have a lot more selection and the customer service is pretty good.

I would give this establishment one star if it was available. I should of learned from the time I went there initially that their customer service is horrible. I ordered a breakfast item, egg white omelette with red peppers from the grill then approached the cashier. She told me the price is $ 4. 50 when I remember going there earlier in the week and got a egg white omelette on a roll when the price was $ 2. 50. How could a price jump like that. However it gets worse, I told this woman that I didn’t pay this price and then she made it like I was lying. I promptly told her I don’t want it and I wont be returning. Stay away from this place!

I find it a little ridiculous that they charge you extra PER topping for a sandwich and you find out at the register. I don’t like those kinds of surprises, so I won’t be returning.

If you want utter disrespect with your eggs then this is the place to go. But if your like the rest of this crazy world who values good customer service, then avoid this place at ALL cost!

When I walk into a place to order FOOD and the customer service as well as people are nasty, chances are the food will be. I also never pay for bad customer service.

Food quality was terrible and the service couldn’t have made my experience worse. Will not be back

I try to shy away from bad reviews and(to my absolute detriment sometimes) I will try and go back a second time to see if a bad experience was a one off. But I am more than happy to put this establishment on blast here for their piss poor customer service. I work in the vicinity and have only gone here for breakfast. There is one particular employee I have dealt with that has on numerous occasions refused to put something as simple as ketchup on my order despite having asked repeatedly for ketchup, before the order and even after the first refusal. His assinine logic is that I can get the ketchup packs when I pay. You have that bottle with ketchup right next to you for a purpose and in the time it takes you to explain the wonders of trying to open dumb ketchup packets just comply with a customer’s request and send the customer away content. Why this establishment keeps this worker is beyond me. I let the Korean owner have it in our language asking him how he allows this level of sub-standard behavior persist when a customer asked for something so basic. The fact that this wasn’t the first time finally contributed to my outburst. Even if they laid out a red velvet carpet I have learned my lesson. I only count myself lucky to have this experience as opposed to getting sick from the food(and with this place, given the fact that the city shut them down foe health reasons, it could have been possible). Nothing can redeem this place.

Then were closed down by the health department for a while but are back in business with the same poor customer service. The salad bar: The guys tend to talk among themselves and I usually have to repeat myself. I recall a time I asked for Asian Ginger salad dressing but since he wasn’t paying attention he gave me ranch. Big difference buddy. Thanks for killing my lunch break. The cashiers: There are two young women every time I’ve come to Andy’s. The shorter woman tends to be very rude and seemed to be annoyed by taking coffee orders.

Great for a quick take-out lunch. I get the cheeseburger deluxe and it’s good to satisfy my days when I want some carbs.

I used to come here on a regular basis because they were right by my office and not fast food. Nothing at all special/interesting. Then they got closed down by the health department and are now open again with a «grade pending» sign. I think I’ll pass.

The food is great and the staff who prepare your food are really helpful. However we have to go in, because the girls who answer the phone are difficult to work with. Great chopped salads.

I work two doors away, so I am in here often. The staff is nice, the coffee is tolerable, the prices are competitive, and the food is okay. My one complaint is that they often screw up the order; toast my bagel when I order it not toasted, forget to put butter on it, sometimes the eggs are overcooked, the soup can be brothy and bland, etc. It is a shame as they are so close and so nice, so I still go there a couple of times a week, but I find it hard to recommend to anyone else unless you are on the block and don’t want to walk a few blocks to better delis.

I usually come here due to the fact its right next door to a starbucks. Nothing beats a true egg sandwich or BLT with a starbucks latte. But you can religiously order the exact same breakfast everyday and the prices will be different each time. In addition, the spanish lady cashier is rude to customers and other employees as if she was the owner. BOYCOTT!!! Take a walk to duane st or park place and enjoy true customer service at any deli.

If ur in a rush, this is not the place for u. If u want to wait 15 min for an egg sandwich then– THISISYOURPLACE! Guys working grill do not speak English well at all and manage to mess up my order EVERYTIME. And don’t even THINK about telling them it’s wrong, you will get pure attitude as they snatch it back and talk about u in Spanish. The platters are super hot and they do not warn u so, beware! The food is decent. Nothing too exciting. I prefer DeliMarie around the corner from them. At least they smile and say thank u!

On my first day of grand jury duty, I wandered around aimlessly; I really know NOTHING about the Civic Center neighborhood. Extreme Southern Manhattan is a strange and scary place to me. Some of the area buffets were overwhelming, so I stumbled upon Andy’s and thought, «Eh, why not?» Well, a very mediocre roast beef sandwich was flimsy and mushy, and it tasted distinctly of onions although I ordered none on it. My sandwich plus an iced tea coast me $ 10! RIPOFF! Ta ta. I shan’t return.

I went to my company’s NY office today to work on a project, when my phone died. Quel horreur! I spent at least 20 minutes wandering around aimlessly, hopelessly lost without my cell phone to guide me. It’s like that one guy said, people are strange when you’re a stranger, faces look ugly when you’re alone. This is not an area of town where it feels good to be phone-less. Phone-less equals helpless. Anyhow, I was trying to find Civic Deli(which is not that great NY Unilocalers – at least not around 2:30 p.m.), when I walked by this place. After I was completely essing lost and walked by a second time, and the wind had chilled me down to my west-coast-perpetually-65-degrees-loving bones, I decided to try it. I ordered two custom salads for me and my gluten-free friend. It was not the world’s most amazing salad, but it was really tasty. I liked that I could pick my fixins. The guy behind the counter could barely speak English – lucky for him, I flexed my Spanish-skillz-muscles. «Handlin’ things.» That worked out nicely. And now, having been lost in this area for a full 30 minutes on a random Tuesday, I know where NYC dumps its garbage. It was a great afternoon.

I have gone to this deli multiple times, as it is close to my place of employment. Each time I have gone, something has been wrong with my order or a coworker’s order. When you attempt to ask anyone to correct it, he/she pretends not to hear you until you eventually just check out. Also, they put absolutely no cream cheese on bagels. The prices are also all random. I have gotten the same thing multiple times and the price has been different many of those times. Not recommended at all.

I eat here for breakfast daily during the work week. They are friendly, fast and have my usual out for me in 2 – 3 minutes. Tasty, fast and don’t break the bank on prices, I have to say they are my go to breakfast spot.

Andy’s Deli broke a new record for me. I waited 40 minutes for my chai tea to cool down enough to be drinkable. This is totally not acceptable! Don’t people realize that when they themselves need a cup sleeve AND several napkins to be able to hold a cup of tea/coffee, that it’s probably too hot to serve it to a customer? I’m definitely not returning here.
