There is no point in making an appointment I made one for 2 didn’t get taken till 330!!! They get away with so much because there a big company.

I came here to fix my iPad! I downloaded the iOS 9 and my iPad froze! I’ve never done this and this is the ONE reason why! I will not update it ever again! It was an hour wait that ended up being 2 hours total after I left’ Emmanuel was great, he warned about the machine might not working since it was old, but it did and I was out in mins! Great location especially if your waiting! Lots of shopping and two coffee spots! Check it out!

The trainers are excellent! I’ve learned so much with their help. It’s a shame that Apple is discontinuing their One to One Program. Please keep the 90 minute Open Training sessions.

Great location for repair, I came in with an appointment for the Genius Bar to have my battery replaced on my Mac book pro early 2011 model. I was promptly checked in on the third floor and seated at tha Genius Bar.
I was attended by one of the geniuses within five minutes of being seated, the procedure was explained to me as well as cost (many flat rate fees can be found on their site) and I was asked if I had any questions. To pickup my laptop I was informed that I would receive an e-​mail in 1 – 3 days for when it would be ready. Within two hours my laptop was ready to be picked up but I wasn’t nearby so picked it up the following day. Picking up my laptop was pretty straight forward and within five minutes of walking in, I was already walking out with my laptop. Repairs are guaranteed for a year but considering my battery has lasted me five, I hopefully won’t need to be back for some time or at least not for repair or battery replacement.

Friendly staff that will get you in and out in a New York minute. Ok, maybe a few NY minutes, but most of the time you are in there because you want to browse their products or have an issue with a piece of equipment. Overall its a serviceable store that was worth the trip into the city for.
The store is 3 floors but doesn’t seem to have an expansive shopping area. The first floor is more of a museum, which is sort of a waste of space (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars).Its easy to miss the entrance, which seems like a strange point to make, but it wasn’t as noticeable as some of their other NYC stores. I am sure there is a method to the madness of that, just seems silly. The top floor is where you go for help and is large and decently comfortable to wait. You share tables with others, which is probably designed to have you make friends while you wait, at least I did!
Pro Tip: If you need to speak with a Genius Bar person, make your appointment ahead of time. They will take excellent care and will keep checking in with you so you know they haven’t forgotten about you.

Could the store be more unhelpful? It seemed like no one wanted to work to help you and had a lazy attitude. Very surprising. I would go to another Apple Store not this one for assistance.
The manager at this store needs to get this place in shape — definitely not what you expect for these products.
However at the end we met one lady who was extremely nice and helpful — thus the 3 stars

Walked into buy an Apple Watch tonight with my wife and we should had done a Unilocal review before such a horrific experience. First, there were at least a half dozen «red shirt» helpers disregarding customers and just speaking upon themselves. Second, after expressing interest in an Apple Watch” the «Red Shirt» merely opened a drawer to have me fumble how to slickly put it on let alone the F&B’s that «warrants» the price tag. Lastly… it was all down hill when I asked this «red shirt representative» what the experience was like and he acted discussed… like I was supposed to buy because he let me try it on! Net net… this location is there for show and doesn’t need your money… nor want your business. Save your time and buy online after careful review of cost bs convenience. Millennials are the reason robots will replace people in customer service. #stevejobswouldnotapprove

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The manager, Saj, was rude, disinterested and unhelpful. Drew, at the Genius Bar, left in the middle of helping me under the guise that he was going to help other people, only to disappear on lunch leaving me sitting alone at the Genius Bar and wasting my time. I hope these two get to experience customer service as inept as that which they provided me. What a couple of jerks.

Outstanding customer service at this location. Went in for an item of theirs not found at different outlet stores. Purchased item paid and was out of the store in less then 5 mins. Excellent!

I will have to say I want to actually call Steve Jobs personally when I come into this location. Yes I know RIP but I’m sure the Good Lord could patch me through on my expensive iPhone 6! Even if it was a short FaceTime to this man to tell him he’s a genius but his Genius Bar sucks.
I’ve been to this location more often than I would like. I’ve had several iPhone 6 replacements this year than I’d like to mention. I keep on dropping them. Butter fingers? Cause it’s not grease from fried chicken. Hmmm. I’m feeling like they aren’t standing up to the phenomenal service Mr. Apple himself would be happy with. You come in and checkin and they take forever to do anything to your phone. Last time i came I sat from 4 – 9. This time I jumped on the West Side highway and headed to Washington Heights real quick to kill time. I came back to retrieve my phone and homegirl says it’s not ready. I’m like huh! You said 2 hours, she was like «yeah ah you can have a seat over there if you like», I was like UM… NOPE… Where’s my go go gadget phone cause I’m using my alternate phone which is really my batman phone and it’s not a cute as my iPhone. Lol. I digressed… So the super hero (like me) customer service gentleman beside her said to me, I will go check for your phone!
I gave her the stare… you know the one where your like if I have to leave my phone here overnight I will be pissed off at YOU! He comes out and says to me it’s ready. Have a seat in the back. They came out verified my ID and I was on my way out the door with my new screen. Usually they tell me uh miss you need to spend more money and purchase new equipment.
The damage $ 109.00! But it was all in a day’s work. I’m happy!

Came in here just to take a peek at the iPad Pro. Nice big store and I was able to actually play with the device which is nice since in some stores I had to battle people (meaning customers) that seem to be working on the display models for hours.
There seems to be a lot of comment about the Genius Bar service which I did not use on my visit — but I did use the restrooms on the third floor which for any place in Manhattan are sometimes a hard find when not spending money at a restaurant.

I have been a loyal Apple customer for years and have spent a lot of time in the various Apple store locations throughout the city — some locations more often than others due to proximity to where I was living at the time.
While I have always been happy with the customer service Ive received at all the locations I’ve been to, my experience at the SoHo location was exceptional — thanks to Sheena at the Genius Bar.
From the moment she asked me about what was going on with my macbook, she expressed genuine concern and provided great advice. She really went above and beyond in not only getting my issue resolved, but fighting on my behalf to get another issue fixed at no cost to me that just happened to be an incidental finding during diagnostic test on my Mac.
If you happen to get Sheena during your Genius Bar appointment, consider yourself lucky! She is a gem that genuinely cares and is passionate about her job.

Please listen to others warnings. This particular Apple store «genius bar» is some of the worst customer service. I went here three times and NEVER AGAIN.
1 time– 1^st gave me attitude about changing a broken computer charger.
2 time– I had taken in my computer for service because it was behaving slowly asked me if I dropped any water on it. I only use the damn thing once and a while. They didn’t even fix that issue. They said it was probably an upgrade.
3– I had an appointment at 11: 30 and was not helped until 12. Then I had to wait an additional hour for the manager of the store to come to me and say I cannot be serviced.
I was there for my iphone. I had every documentation proving it to be my phone along with passcodes etcc. This manager supposedly calls AT&T and said that he could not unlock my phone because the colors did not match up. His tone and body language basically accused me of stealing my own Iphone. I had enough of this place
You know what they say. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I have to take my computer in for battery change and it won’t be here. Apple talks about how great their customer service is, but it hasn’t been great in over three years.

The staff here wasted 3 hours of my life on a Saturday morning! After making a genius appointment, I received a text message stating that they are ready to see me and the apple worker told me to sit at the table. 45 min later someone showed up to help me and only to tell me there was nothing they could do. Wtf? Others at the table I was waiting at were waiting well over an hour and were irritated and frustrated as well. Next time I will talk to 3 apple workers and the manager before wasting 3 hours on a Saturday.

I’m not an Apple user so I don’t find myself in an Apple store often however I’ve been to this store a couple times now because of work. I’ve come in to get a couple screens replaced and the process has been fairly painless. I’ve gotten sat immediately every time and usually wait 5 to 10 minutes to see an employee. They ask some questions, take the phone, and tell me to come back in an hour. When I come back the phone is ready with a new screen and I’m on my way. While the employees aren’t the most friendly or responsive overall what could be a terrible experience isn’t.

Apple, why does autocorrect still change the word fuck to «duck»? …And can we get 3,4 to group FaceTime or better yet, quality charging cables? Would Steve Jobs care about that new pencil?
Now we got those questions off my chest.
I just wanted to say thank you for the actual humans in tech support and for taking me without an appointment then cashing me out with your hand held machine.
I’m not really sure about those people of all kinds camped out at the demo machines, doing everything from checking Facebook to filming, editing, and posting videos of themselves in your store for 3 hours though.
Oh, Good job Apple for making $ 700 billion.

I actually don’t mind coming into this location as the staff is really friendly. I’ve had to come here multiple times over the past few months because of problems I’ve been having with my MacBook Pro. Each time, I was greeted and assisted in a timely manner. They explained everything very thoroughly so I knew what was going on and I felt comfortable leaving my laptop with them. Plus, nearly all of my repairs have been free. I only deducted one star because of all the problems I’ve been having with my computer, but this is not the location’s fault. It’s also not too crowded either.

Friendliest staff of the NYC Apple stores. I’ve never had a bad experience with the incredibly helpful staff.
I originally took a malfunctioning computer to the SoHo location and they tried to immediately charge me for damages before checking it out. The staff here explored every option and were kind.

I went in recently to exchange a pair of iPhone headphones (something I do every few months as they tend to malfunction quickly). At first I was denied by the «gatekeeper» with the iPad as he insisted the Genius staff were all booked up for the afternoon. Why I would need to see a genius to exchange headphones (something I had never had to do previously) was beyond me.
Fortunately a very kind greeter, Fanesha took me to the back of the first floor where a cashier was more than happy to make the exchange on the spot. I tip my hat to her as she helped double the rating (2 stars) that I would have given this Apple Store. Cheers.

So packed! Probably one of the busiest Apple Store in NYC, only second to the 58^th Street one. Staff is always super friendly and free wifi for you tourist out there!
If you are looking to buy the latest iPhone just days after it came out this wouldn’t be the go to store but it is defiantly a great experience if you are a tourist and want to understand what Apple is all about!

In Chelsea soll der dritte Apple Store New Yorks sein. Auf jeden Fall ist es von allen, die wir kennen, sicher der größte, der hellste, der stylischte. Hier im Meatpacking District geht keine einfache Glastreppe in den ersten Stock, sondern gleich eine ganze Wendeltreppe. Cooool! Wir haben beobachtet, dass der Kunde auf Strumpfsocken das Haus betritt, die Inliner unter dem Arm, kurz shoppt und mit der Apple Bag über den Schultern wieder rausgeht, nicht, ohne sich auf der untersten Stufe die Inliner wieder angezogen zu haben.
Obwohl wir auch hier ein paar Leute für eine Beratung blocken, finden wir mit vereinten Kräften schlussendlich heraus, dass ein in USA gekaufter Apple TV in Deutschland durchaus funktioniert.
Gekauft, bäm! (Funktioniert wirklich und erinnert forever an NYC.)

Dans le quartier, c’est assez «étudiants» et nettement plus calme que sur l’Apple store de la 5eme Avenue.

Es una de las Apple Store con más encanto, según mi opinión. No está situada en ningún característico edificio de cristal con enormes ventanales, sino que tiene un aspecto más antiguo.
Muy en la línea de los edificios del Meatpacking Disctrict, la tienda ocupa el edificio de una antigua fábrica, y esto la de un toque especial. Mientras que el exterior tiene ese toque antiguo, el interior es totalmente moderno, como todas las tiendas de Apple. Y ese contraste es lo que la hace más atractiva.
Se nota que no es una tienda tan orientada al turismo como las demás Apple Store de la ciudad, sino que es más local, digamos. Más «de pueblo».
Al ser de tres plantas, la escalera es especialmente bonita. Los pisos no son muy grandes, pero tienen de todo. Y algo que me gustó mucho es que las ventanas tienen una zona para sentarse y ver el distrito desde o alto. Una de mis tiendas preferidas de Apple, sin duda.

Der dritte Apple Store in New York ist wahrscheinlich auch der unbekannteste. Dabei ist das eigenltich sehr schade, denn er ist gut gelegen und im Vergleich zu den anderen deutlich größer, geräumiger.
Man kann auch sehr schön drinnen sitzen, surfen und dabei aus den riesigen Fensterfronten schauen.
Schaut doch mal rein, am besten gegen abend, da ist nicht mehr soviel los!
