Aranoff Shera MD

I never saw this doctor because when I called to make an appointment, I spoke to the rudest receptionist ever. I asked her how long would a first time appointment take and she said it takes as long as it takes. Very unfriendly, I guess they don’t need new patients. Will go elsewhere.

I have seen this MD a few times. She is very competent and professional. She made me feel well taken care of. She is busy. She is a no nonsense type of person, down to earth. If you require a lot of hand holding she may not be for you. I. Think she is terrific!

I went to her 2 years ago with suspicious moles on my back. She looked at them under a magnifying glass and said they were normal with nothing to worry about. I liked her approach and she did not push me into expensive tests. Her manner was very pleasant and professional. I am about to schedule a routine follow up, which is how I got to this site. Will post if anything to add or changes.

Love, love, love Dr. Aranoff! Straight to the point, super smart, calming & trustworthy :) She not only cured my longtime acne, but has kept me looking young and healthy with occoassional chemical peels…
Best dermatologist ever.

I’ve been going to Dr. Aranoff for years… She’s a sweetheart!!! I first started seeing her in the 90’s when I had a severe problem with acne. I had been to many many doctors before her and NONE of them were able to help me until I found her. She gave me Accutane (which I know is extremely controversial nowadays) but it cleared my face up very very nicely — in a short amount of time — and I had NO side effects (like depression) at all!!! Thank God!!! I haven’t had a break out of any kind in 15 years!!! After that, I have gone to her for cosmetic purposes like Juvederm injections and she does a great job!!! My last injections were about a year and a half ago and I am just now starting to see them wear off. Going to treat myself to some more for Mother’s Day — and she will be the ONLY one to do them. Love, love, love Dr. Aranoff!!!

I saw this woman three times. I had to keep returning because the rash would not go away. Eventually I figured out, by myself, that I was allergic to my perfume.
I thought at the time she wasn’t really paying me real attention — she seemed to be getting people in and out of her office at an incredibly quick rate. She misdiagnosed the rash as acne for a start. But whatever.
Anyway — yesterday I was at my regular doctor, I looked in my file, and I saw the «follow up» letter she had written to him. She mentioned that I had a tattoo on my lower back. I HAVE NO TATTOOS. God knows who she was actually writing about. Not me.
Clearly she has too much going on, and isn’t paying the necessary attention. Really troubling.

I rather appreciated Dr. Aranoff’s no nonsense, yet friendly, approach. We took our then two year old daughter to her and knew exactly what the problem was with just one quick look. Furthermore, I respected the fact that she didn’t try to pressure us to come back for a follow up visit. «If the rash goes away, you don’t need me to tell you that it’s gone, right?» Exactly. Her support staff is likewise efficient and professional.

I thought Dr. Aranoff was quite nice and very professional. She gave me insight and great service in a timely fashion.

The only reason I gave her a star is because she’s definitely well-​educated in the dermatology field. However, I felt she was a bit biased with the appearances of her patients. I was able to hear her be quite personable & warm with two 1^st time patients; with another lady & I, 1^st time patients as well, she was cold, straight to business.
She’s kinda rude, so if you’re looking for a home-​y feeling with your dermatologist, visiting Dr. Aranoff is a russian-​roulette kind of situation, you’ll only know if you actually end up going to her. So if ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of warmness is not a sufficient probability for you, then I’d suggest not going to her.
I don’t think she’s truly concerned about the advancement or worries of her patients… I felt like I was just another $$$-making notch on her accounting book.
