HORRIBLE! Machines don’t work properly and the staff is extremely rude! Never going back!

I tried this lundromat after my usual place, on 2nd between 81st and 80th, was closed three weeks in a row due to a water main problem. Though similarly expensive($ 7 for a large machine, are you kidding me?), the staff are very nice and it’s always clean. Even during peak hours I haven’t waited more than a couple minutes for a machine. I love that they’re open early on weekends. Hours 6:30 am — 11 pm daily. Cash only, with an ATM on premises; a Chase ATM is located in the Duane Reade at 1st and 86th if needed.

This place is great! I almost don’t want to write a review to let out the secret! I have gone at peak hours(sunday evening) and non-peak(Tuesdays at 8am) and they are clean and efficient each time. I use the self-service machines and they range from $ 8(only one machine) for the huge washer — ~$ 5 for the smaller machines. The dryer price is a steal ~$.20 for 10 minutes I believe. The couple who I assume owns it are incredibly nice, they’ll find you an open machine and hold it for you while you move your clothes. It does tend to get kind of squishy if there’s a few people in there doing laundry or folding, but that usually doesn’t last. AAAaaaand they’re open early and close late! Every day of the week!

This place is only getting 1 star and they’re lucky I’m even giving them that. This is by far the biggest rip-off of a laundry facility on the UES. Everything is clean and the machines look nice and new.(hence…the one star!) Rarely do the machines work properly/efficiently. If you don’t dry your clothes for an hour or more… you will be left with damp laundry. I’ve even had to go and wring my stuff out outside because the washer didn’t properly spin. These are only small examples of what the machines lack. It’s expensive, the card alone being $ 5, then $ 3.50/small load, and $ 0.25÷5 mins in dryers that don’t dry your clothes. I think the worst part of this place is how unfriendly, unhelpful, unapologetic and rude the staff is. A woman, whom I assume is the owner, will straight up ignore you if you tell her something is wrong with her machines. I know because she has not only done it to me, but to others. Recently I told her the washing machine ran the wrong cycle for my wash and she looked at me and walked away. Then she ignored me when i tried to approach her once again about the issue. THEYDON“T CARE to even make it right which is why I’m even writing a review. Accidents happen, machines break, and I get that. But be courteous and try to fix your business problems instead of just huffing away. I’d like to tell the whole neighborhood to boycott this place just so they don’t waste their money.

This place is actually Wash84. I’m not sure what happened to Ardizzone, but it’s not at this address. My experience at Wash84 was fine, but I’m going to check out other places as well. I had to buy a card to operate the machines, which ended up costing me $ 5 even though the machine said it cost $ 3. The machine actually ate my $ 5, so I had to figure out who was in charge of the place(it wasn’t obvious to me, since she was one of the people doing laundry). She gave me a card to use, but as I said, it cost $ 5 since I didn’t get any change. Each normal load costs $ 3.50(there are large and extra large machines too), and 6 minutes of drying(in a HUGE dryer) costs $ 0.25. I ended up spending $ 10 to do two medium loads, plus $ 5 to buy the card. I went on a Friday at 1, and there were plenty of machines available. Not a lot of folding space, but enough. There are a couple of chairs around if you want to sit while you wait or fold laundry. All in all, a normal laundromat experience.

I recently moved to the Upper East Side. Previously I lived in a college dorm, and was used to having laundry service in the building, so I was seriously dreading having to drag all my laundry out of the building and having to pay 3 times the amount that they charge in dorms. But anyways, my roommate introduced me to this place, and I thought it was great! It’s not too expensive, and I loved how the staff were incredibly helpful. They showed me how to purchase the laundry card and operate everything, and provided change because I think I only had a 20 or something. They were super friendly and cheerful too, and that always makes me happy. And being me, I left a bunch of clothes there because I was in a hurry, and only realized a full day later. I went back and surprisingly the staff remembered me and kept my clothes for me! Yay. Success.

If you or your building doesn’t have laundry facilities, you can leave your laundry here for quick service, folding and pickup. Decent prices and VERY nice folks.
