First of all, I’m a small guy. I stand at 5’5″, weigh in at 117, and am Asian; that makes shopping challenging at times. My jeans and slacks all come from the kids’ department, and all my shirts are taken in. The problem is most companies don’t even make a 27, and boys’ belts are pretty… ummm…plain. Add being a hair stylist on top of that and all of a sudden you have a serious predicament on your hands: how can one evoke style in such small stature? Enter Badichi. I happened across this store while in town for a workshop. I was helped by a lovely girl named Erica who not only helped me pick out perfect pairings between buckle and belt leather, but even customized details(such as using a snap enclosure on one of them so I could interchange the buckle with another down the road). She had a very clear idea of my kind of style, balancing bold choices appropriately with my body type, and was meticulous about everything(and honest. I love that about a sales associate). I come to NYC a few times a year for work and I have to say this was hands-down my best shopping experience in all of my trips. Living in Seattle, home of Nordstrom, Starbucks, and Amazon, I’ve grown accustomed to a certain calibre of customer service and I have to say Erica is Seattle-worthy. I look forward to visiting Badichi again in the near future and walking away with more amazing belts!

Swung by the shop to see what this is all about. The belts are custom to your size and price range from $ 40-$ 150. You first choose your belt which was nicely arranged in the center of the shop and then you choose your buckle. There was so much to choose from and all were really nice. I got a free keychain for checking in so do your check in Unilocalers!
