Wonderful Service, my friends and I had a great time! I highly reccommend this place! The Lovely and Shrimp Tempura rolls are delicious. Check out their 2 for 1 happy hour selection you won’t be disappointed.

Que demander de plus à un Sushi Bar? Rien. Tout est déjà très bien! Plateaux très savoureux et de belles présentations, ambiance conviviale et détendue. Personnels très aimables.

This was disappointing The sushi seemed expensive for what we actually got, the spider roll was 5 rolls for $ 15. We sat next to the sushi prep space and it seemed more disorganized than I expected, there were open staff drinks at the bar, Tupperware containers on the dining space and staff was eating(maybe that’s what happened to my other spider rolls?). I’m not saying staff shouldn’t eat but take a break and don’t do it on full view of the diners I’m ordered the lycée martini, to her credit the waitress offered a sample since it was«sweet» I declined, though wish I had taken her advise. It tasted like pure sugar syrup. I watered it down a few times so it’s stop hurting my teeth. If you’re looking for sushi I’d check out a better rated place and go to the place for their festive atmosphere, drink menu and generous happy hour

Good happy our specials and fresh fish. Order one of the special sushi combos and your entrée will be served in a huge boat! Lots of roll options too!

The place is great. Dj Casa de Galindo is great, he makes you want to dance. He is there on Fri and Sat. There is a gay event called MR. that happen there on Sat. You should bring your friend there.

Came here on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago & used a groupon to share a sushi boat for myself & my girlfriend. Food was good & service was attentive. Only thing I did not like is the vibe of the restaurant. Staff did not seem enthusiastic(which I guess brought the mood down in a way) in being there & the whole restaurant was completely empty on a Saturday night(which you can’t blame on the restaurant too much, its just worth noting). I would definitely come back though as I loved the décor & I want to try their other sushi choices.

Went there with a friend of mine and decided to try it out. It has a nice ambience and a sleek look to it. It is a lounge seating with sofa chairs and some high top tables. First, we ordered a side of Chasu pork buns and on the menu it clearly states THREE but only TWO came out. Therefore, the orders contradicted the printings on the menu. Secondly, I ordered the ramen, and it was too salty. The food here definitely needs improvement. When we enquire about the mistake with the right honourable server, Mr. Julio, he claimed that it was a printing error on the menu. But when we brought the matter up to the right honourable restaurant manager, Mr. Richard, he claimed that it was the kitchen’s fault. Contradicting each other. At this point, my friend and I have given up on this restaurant. The crowd here are mostly gay Asians. Presumably, the overflows from the bar next door.

Time and money wasted. I ordered«Three Chashu Pork Bun» but only two came. The server said there was a typo error in the menu coz of the computer. How is it possible to print so many copies of menu without checking? The Manager said the kitchen guy made a mistake of only giving 2. Contradictory statements. They tried to appease us by giving something on the house though. A mediocre sushi. Small. Sad. Dry rice. The bill came but they charged me +$ 2 for a drink that was supposed to be $ 6. Again, the Server blamed the computer.

The rice you use in your sushi is worst than regular rice. It’s not a sushi rice, not cured and so tough! Guys… sushi is all about the rice!!!

$ 49 Groupon brought us to Bamboo 52. We had low expectations but the food was better than expected. The deal came with edamame, 8 piece sushi, 3 rolls, sake for 2(switched one to beer), and mochi ice cream. Rice was a little dry; otherwise, everything else was good. A little miffed that the whiskey we ordered was less than an ounce. Service was great — very friendly and attentive.

DONOTEATHERE. I ordered two vegetarian sushi items, as I don’t eat meat or fish. When my order arrived, I thought it was strange that there was a sweet sauce on my vegetarian avocado roll, but I thought it just must be how they do it at Bamboo 52. When we received our bill, however, I realized that I had been charged for an eel avocado roll, and that that must have been what I had eaten without thinking twice. I asked our server, who confirmed that he had made a mistake and entered the wrong roll into the computer when placing our order. I was visibly upset, and although he apologized, he did not offer to do anything to remedy the situation– he didn’t even comp the roll, not to mention the whole meal! Instead, he charged me the veggie roll in full– which I had never received. What if this had been an allergy? Needless to say, he did not receive a tip, and I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Nice little lunge in Hell’s Kitchen. Nestled away into an unseeingly area. I walked in a noticed a fierce hoard of predominately gay Asian males. I was intrigued so I continued on. In hopes of better exploring the city of a Southern transplant, I must say I was hesitant by all the obnoxious noise and cramped quarters but I pushed on determine to experience something else. Quite honestly I had a craving for sushi and the rating here seem fine enough. I ordered the baked baby octopus, which was okay. I love octopus but the warm squishy chewy slightly gritty texture of chewing on octopus was only textural off putting. Overall, it was a good dish, I feel it would have been better cold but then again it DID say baked. The tofu skins was sad. It was typical Asian tofu chips with a garnish. My Hell’s Kitchen Chriashi was boring. It was your typical fish with a side of sweeten rice, presentation was just okay. I was expecting something fabulous but I guess not. My friend has her assortment of sushi and it was just okay. The positives were the service and ambiance despite my standoffish ways. Music was on point, I just wanted to dance the entire time I was there even if I was one of the 3 females in the whole establishment. The waitress was awesome, super attentive despite how busy it was and pleasant with her around. I like the décor, I was surprise for the amount of space how most patrons kept to the front despite the cozy back lounge. Overall? I’m a food type of gal. It was a nice place but nothing that would drive me to come back.

Happy hour until 9pm? Check Great food without breaking the bank? Check Cute décor and ambience? Check Amazing service by the wait staff? Check What more do you need? This is one of my fave spots to go to in the West 50’s. They have 2 for 1 happy hour specials on beer, house wine and the specialty cocktails. Get the sake-jito! Take my word for it that it’s the best cocktail on that menu. They have some decent meal options although a limited menu. So if you’re going with a picky friend, you may want to vet the food options before stopping by. I recommend getting the pan-fried Udon to serve as drunk food. The meal with the two drinks gets you to under $ 30. Not bad for night out in Midtown.

The sushi here is amazing! I loooooove great sushi but even more I love great service! Sharon was attentive, knowledgeable and fun!!! We’ll definitely be back… We had the ribs… amazing! Spider roll, eel avocado and two orders of edamame! Everything was so fresh and delicious. I didn’t quite get the sushi pizza but my friend AJ looooved it… truly loved our experience and thanks to Sharon! We were treated like royalty!

Loved the $ 5 Prosecco night(Wednesdays) and the sushi was amazing! We went back twice whilst we were there. We’re not sure what the attraction is with the ramen soup restaurant two doors up(lines for days) but these people seem to be missing great sushi in in a place that’s easy to get into, has great ambience and fabulous food at a good price! I will also concur with a previous reviewer that the manager makes himself very conspicuous to guests — and not in a good way. We actually thought he was a food critic and asked the waiter if this was so. You should not stand at the food service area, trying different bites and screwing up your face. It doesn’t exactly look good to guests! The staff and food was fabulous and we would recommend highly.

Not good. Came here because it’s one of the few sushi places in the area with an outside, but the food just wasn’t memorable. If you just want a basic meal Or sushi, is fine. I just didn’t have anything rave worthy, and it sounds like the other reviewers had the same to say.

My experience at Bamboo 52 was just okay. I met a friend here for dinner on a Thursday night and since it was the first nice day out, we wanted to sit outside. They’d originally told us it’d be a 20 minute wait, so we decided to sit it out at the stools they have up front. It ended up being a 45 minute wait. Was it worth it? No not really, especially because it got a bit chilly by then and the outdoor section is just as nice as the indoor. I ordered the Yuzu Yellowtail with Jalapeño Sashimi appetizer which was mediocre and definitely not worth the price, despite the fancy flame. It’s just a few thin slices of fish! Wah wah. My main entrée was the special(which changes everyday), the SnowFlake roll, which had white tuna and cucumber. It was a solid three stars but I wouldn’t go out of my way to have it again. Friend got 2 shrimp tempura rolls and the New York roll. We paid about 30 bucks each. I think one can get much better for that in the area if one looks for it.

Giving them a 3.5! Had an enjoyable dining experience here. We were a party of 4 and the restaurant is large enough to where we had a little, comfortable nook. You walk into the restaurant, you’ll see the spacious bar, then you walk into the dining area, and in the back, there’s more(private?) seating. Friendly service from the start. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, though, did miss the opportunity to refill our water on several occasions(he passed us by many times) so we had to ask. But, still friendly and accommodating, nonetheless. The sushi, I thought, was yummy/good quality but not mind-blowing. We had the shrimp tempura roll which was tasty but the tempura batter was thick(though, I appreciated the crunch), and not light the way usual tempura is. I had the mussels which were tasty but overcooked, and the broth was quite salty. I did enjoy some of my partner’s sushi rolls(spicy bamboo & spider roll) — both were yummy! We had the ricotta cheesecake and tres leches cake for dessert. They were tasty, but quite frankly, nothing to brag out. I’m usually a big sweets person and I actually didn’t try and finish my dessert nor try and steal some of my partner’s which I usually do! ;) All in all, it was a good experience — and I appreciated the manager, I think, who came by and asked us how everything was going. We had a great time, and I would go back!

Confirm Orders to Obtain Correct Tasty Sushi *Note* My review is based on take-out only. Food: The rolls are on par with the majority of other Japanese restaurants in the area, specifically the basic rolls. The fish is fresh and all cooked rolls(eel & shrimp tempura) are done well. If they had a lunch special for sushi/sashimi combinations I would love to try it. The miso soup is nothing to write home about. Recently I created my own roll(white tuna, avocado, wasabi tobiko) and received a roll with white tuna and jalapeño. This occurred alongside the messed up order by , but the manager copied my confirmation e-mail, so the ingredients should have been correct. I enjoyed the roll, but had to take out the majority of the jalapeño because it was overpowering the fish. Service: On the overall the service at Bamboo 52 is friendly. Most recently I ordered online( ) and upon my arrival went to the bar and said I was there to pick up an order for Philippe(last name) and I had to repeat myself a few times for the bartender to understand me. He was a little agitated that it took so long for him to understand what I was asking for. He goes to check the sushi bar and it isn’t ready yet. Shortly after the manager(I assume) comes to me and says the order didn’t go through. He asks if I received a confirmation e-mail which I show him, lending him my phone so he can copy the order. He returns to apologize for the issues and mentions to use other sites since had been problematic recently. After a total wait time of about 20 minutes the bartender brings my order and I leave. Sadly the food I received was somewhat different from what I ordered(as mentioned in the food section of my review). Since I was back in the office I didn’t want to return and wait another 20 minutes to have my order fixed. Overall: 3 Stars I enjoy the sushi at Bamboo 52, if I receive the right order. Decent prices for lunch specials, and it isn’t too crowded so the wait won’t be long(if any). If they had a lunch special for sushi/sashimi combinations I would love to try it. The service is friendly, but their actions(offering free items for waiting too long), are unnecessary at times. At other times wait times are long and you feel kindness, but coldness at the same time. Emphasize what you ordered. Make sure the servers repeat what you ordered, more than once if necessary. For delivery or take-out, order directly from their website, seamless or call. Other sites( ) may give you issues.

Saw the sign outside as I was walking by that said $ 2 Bluepoint Oysters so I had to pop in and get some! They were delicious. Ended up staying and ordering a sushi roll as well. We got the Lovely roll which features Chilean Sea Bass and it was yummy. I was looking for a sushi place during my 4 day stay in the city and it was nice to find this gem during my last few hours in town. I will definitely return the next time I’m in town.

One of my favorite sushi places in Hells Kitchen. The rolls are super yummy and BIG. The price, more on the price-y side, about $ 12-$ 13 for a special roll. But, when you’re hungry, it doesn’t really matter. The waitstaff is so nice. I come here rather often, the bartender, the waitresses, the host(ess) so attentive and welcoming. On Saturday nights, it kinda turns into this drag show and they play fun dance music, which is always fun and entertaining. One time, we got up and just shook our tailfeathers, twerked our booties off, while drinking and eating. That’s what I call, «multi-tasking.»
